Project: Malakand Rehabilitation Project Position: Civil Engineer Duration: July 2009 to July 2012 Major Responsibilities:
•Supervision and monitoring of infrastructure projects implemented by GIZ through government line departments in Malakand & Swat District including regular field visits.
•Supervision and monitoring of infrastructure projects implemented by GIZ itself in Malakand and swat District including regular field visits.
•Preparation of infrastructure projects implemented by GIZ itself in Malakand and Swat Districts: surveys and feasibility studies; drafts of estimates, BOQs, Design, etc.
•Preparation of monitoring progress reports for GIZ on infrastructure projects.
•Responsible for inspection, quality assurance (QA), and quantity control (QC) of civil works, material received and to be delivered on-site.
•Study Approved Plans and Specification and prepare queries if there is conflict and submit to designer for clarification
•Check the physical quality and technical specifications of construction materials delivered on-site prior to installation
•Reviewed IFC drawings and project specifications for site implementation
•Reviewed material approval and submit it to the client as per the approved drawing and specification.
•Prepared Construction schedule, Equipment Schedule, Manpower Schedule, Bill of Materials, Bar Bending Schedule, Shop Drawing, Method Statements, Job Safety Analysis and Risk Assessment of the following documents in every structure prior to implementation.
•Training of community workers and site supervisors during the implementation of infrastructure projects.
•Maintenance of professional relations with all relevant stakeholders.
•Preparation of work schedules, weekly progress reports, daily performance reports, work plan/construction reports, and site visit directive forms.
