Application / Technical support Engineer
Responsibilities:
• Technical sales and application support, selection and quotations of HVAC equipment and control devices like Terminal Units VAVs/CAVs, GRDs, Sound Attenuators, Displacement ventilators, Chilled beams, Fan coils, Blower Coils, AHUs, Air Measuring devices & Control stations, actuators and damper accessories, Life safety & industrial process and control dampers, energy recovery ventilators, Zone control systems, actuators thermostats and controllers, louvers.
• Knowledge of Electrical and HVAC system design, PLC, DCS & BMS ESD system. Knowledge of monitoring control of HVAC, MEP, E&I products and their integrations with BMS via BacNet (MS/TP-IP) Protocals, Lon Protocals, KNX, Modbus and others.
• Giving support to clients on life safety product (Fire, Fire & Smoke damper, smoke damper), HVAC control products: Actuators (Belimo, Honeywell, JCI, Schneider Electric), switches and Pressure Sensors, temperature & smoke sensors.
• Conducting technical product training/webinars for agents and distributors in Middle East Region.
• Supervisory, field & network controllers, gateways and fire alarm system.
• Client and consultant meetings for technical product applications and working as needed.
• Supporting sales department in resolving product related technical issues.
• Meeting with clients on site to resolve the technical issues related to product operations.
• Dealing with resolution of technical and contractual issues to ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Knowledge of Variable air volume controller calibration, commissioning and damper actuator installation as per the UL guide lines.
• Prepares and plans technical quotations for related product as per the required client specifications.
• Coordinates technical clarifications with the client/ contractor for project requirements.
• Knowledge of International Standards like ISO, UL, NFPA, ASTM, AMCA, NEMA, ANSI, IP ratings, IEC, DCD (Dubai civil defense) Rules.
• Providing Technical support to the clients/ contractors / MEP Contractors.
• Preparing compliance statements against the Clients/ Contractors’ given specifications.
• Receiving BOQ and preparing technical quotations.
• JCA (Job Cost Analysis), Technical Submittals for major MEP contractors, sub-contractor and clients in UAE and Worldwide.
• Preparing sales orders, work orders and production annexures (Bill of material).
• To ensure accuracy, completeness and compliance with the defined scope of work.
• Releasing order to the Factory for manufacturing.
• Acoustical Selection & Analysis Program for sound attenuators (silencer) selection and Easy & Accurate HVAC Acoustical Analysis based on technical data.
• Follow-ups with client / MEP Contractors.
