- At the group level: Realized a 20% decrease in waste generation intensities compared to the 2020 baseline year, reducing landfill contributions, and optimizing resource utilization.
- At the group level: Attained a 25% decrease in water usage intensities compared to the 2020 baseline year across ARASCO's SBUs, conserving resources and reducing operating costs.
● Ensure the timely collection, tracking, verification, analysis, auditing, and reporting of GHG, energy, waste, and water data for ARASCO's sustainability footprints.
● Develop and implement Leading and Lagging Sustainability Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Dashboard for periodic monitoring and continual improvement.
● Coordinate and collaborate with various internal and external stakeholders for successful delivery of multi-disciplinary sustainability and environment projects.
● Lead the company's efforts to participate in and achieve the King Khalid Foundation's Sustainability Award for 2023.
● Collaborate with ARASCO SBUs and Corporate Units teams (sustainability steering committee) to integrate sustainability into the organizational culture to improve ESG rating.
● Prepare and publish monthly, quarterly, and annual sustainability reports, showcasing ARASCO's achievements in environmental sustainability and enhancing the company's transparency and reputation.
● Conduct in-house training sessions and arrange workshops to educate the sustainability committee on sustainable practices, fostering a culture of responsibility within ARASCO.
● Engage with stakeholders, including government bodies, non-governmental organizations, and industry peers, to cultivate partnerships and promote sustainable practices and environmental compliance.
● Conduct regular EHS performance monitoring and analyze and report on the findings.
● Ensure that site operating, and business plan objectives are consistent with Novartis' environmental protection and health and safety policies, guidelines, and procedures.
● Identify deviations and develop solutions to mitigate EHS risks and enhance environmental compliance.
● Assist in the development, review, and implementation of EHS programs, including data collection, analysis, and reporting.
● Conduct internal EHS assurance audits and provide support in preparing third-party audits for facilities' GHG emissions.
● Monitor solid and chemical disposals to ensure safe environmental protection in compliance with local governmental regulations.
● Monitor air quality, wastewater management, and water conservation performance.
● Establish environmental, health, and safety KPI targets in alignment with Novartis' EHS policies and strategies.
