MOTA-ENGIL CONSTRUCTION (UGANDA)

Receiving and issuing incoming and outgoing goods and materials respectively.
Checking all documentation used in receiving to ensure that the materials and goods match with the respective invoices and delivery notes.
Dispatch all goods to their respective sites in accordance with the requisitions and Bills of Quantities received.
Working with company Database system (SAP) to check incoming requisitions and Bills of Quantities with the inventory and stock to ensure that the materials needed are available for supply.
Place Purchase Orders to Head Office in liaison with the Warehouse Manager.
Liaising with the Procurement/ Logistics Department at Head office to ensure that all materials and equipment ordered are delivered in time and following up suppliers so as to achieve timely delivery.
Working with the Workshop manager and other Section heads to prepare minimum balance sheets so that materials are always available in stock.
Supervising Warehouse staff and Storekeepers to ensure that materials are well stacked and recorded onto BIN Cards.
Keeping the Warehouse clean and tidy at all times.
Report to the Warehouse Manager.
In charge of all company vehicles and motorcycles from procurement to operation and ensuring that they are
well maintained and serviced so as to operate efficiently.
Hiring all drivers and riders and training them to maintain and operate all machines effectively.
Ensuring that all orders received are supplied efficiently and promptly.
• Training and supervising Trip/Plant Checkers and Foremen to prepare On-site reports and Production reports in the field.
• In charge of the company inventory system and supervision of the inventory clerks and store keepers to ensure that all materials supplied and used are well recorded.
• Liaising with the Head office to ensure that all materials and equipment ordered are delivered in time and following up suppliers so as to achieve timely delivery.
• Liaising with the Workshop manager and phase/section heads to prepare the Plant/ Equipment Cost report showing the depreciation, spare parts and fuel/lubricants cost all against the total mileage, hours worked and the efficiency in each phase.
• Analyzing field Data and entering it into Company Data base, making monthly Direct Cost reports consisting of; summary of materials used per phase, equipment costs per phase, Man power cost both permanent workers and Casual laborers, while comparing the month’s unit cost and tender price to gauge the profit margin.
• Compiling the project’s Monthly cost report showing the monthly costs and the cumulative costs versus the production and income.
• Liaising with the Site Engineer and reporting to the Project Manager.

• Design a records/report writing system to monitor every material delivered, used, wasted, damaged or lost and the balance in the stock.
• Liaising with the Workshop manager and phase/section heads to prepare the Plant/ Equipment Cost report showing the depreciation, spare parts and fuel/lubricants cost all against the total mileage, hours worked and the efficiency in each phase.

• Responsible for roofing-layout setting and supervision of all roofing works.
• In charge of all sub-contractors for roofing works, interpretation of drawings and Engineer’s instructions to the sub-contractors and tradesmen involved in roofing works.
• Co-ordinating and monitoring the supply and use of all required materials and in-situ inspection of all supplied materials.
• Ensure that the Engineer’s specifications are adhered to and all works are executed accurately and efficiently.
• Liaising with the General foreman and reporting to the Site manager.
• In-charge of all site activities and supervision of all works, setting out building and construction works, setting out pipeline excavation.
• Mobilizing, recruiting, training and supervising laborers and tradesmen on site.
Soliciting, identifying, ordering and purchasing materials suitable for quality and durable construction.
• Maintaining a clear record and report of all works showing all the plant, materials and labour used.
• Co-ordinating and liaising with the Consultant’s Agent to ensure that work progress is on schedule as planned.
• Liaising with the local authorities and populace to ensure smooth running and uninterrupted work progress.
• Reporting and working together with the Lot Manager.
STATISTICAL DATA ANALYSIS USING EXCEL SPREADSHEETS, EPI DATA, SPSS, STATA.
COMPUTERISED ACCOUNTING AND BOOKKEEPING USING QUICK-BOOKS AND TALLY.
