SKILLS AND EXPERTISE
Field and bench calibration of pressure, flow, temperature and level SMART and NON-SMART transmitters of Rosemount, Foxboro, Honeywell, Fisher, Yamatake and Yokogawa.
Experience with Differential Pressure, Ultrasonic, Coriolis, Vortex, PD and Turbine type flow meters.

Startup, shutdown and maintenance activities on Boilers.
Experience with Nitrogen and Instrument Air Generation with PLC based Instrument Air Dryer and Compressors.
Worked on Relay Logic based machinery control systems.
Complete understanding of relevant documents and drawings such as P&ID, PFD, Logic and Loop Diagram and Isometric Drawing etc.
Optimum utilization of different hand held communicators and calibrators such as AMS Trex Device communicator, Field Communicator 475, HART 275 and 375, Foxboro HHT, Honeywell SFC etc.
Optimum utilization of Computerized Management System (CMMS) such as SAP, SAP FIORI and Maximo.
Complete knowledge of weight measurement system.
Responsibilities:
• Obtains work permits from Instrument Supervisor, review assigned work and arrange for the necessary material, tools, spare parts if needed and equipment to complete the task.
• Perform maintenance, repair, calibration and functional tests of a variety of instruments, relay logic and control loops in accordance with company standards, codes and practice.
• Perform preventive, corrective and emergency maintenance on all equipment on site as well as during machine scheduled or unscheduled shutdowns to ensure the availability of all equipment in reliable condition during running and prevent unforeseen trips.
• Perform field and/or system modifications of control elements and/or control loops as per the plant change requests and assist to update all related plant drawings and documents.
• To ensure strict adherence to HSE Standards and Guidelines set by the company.
• To maintain tools and equipment in a serviceable condition, practice good housekeeping in the workshop and on sites.
• Issue comprehensive daily activity reports outlining the cause of the fault, the nature of the work and the materials, manpower and time taken to complete the task.
• To provide technical assistance and support as required, to the Operations Team during process shut down and start up.
• Carry out inspection and exercise vigilance to identify any developing problem in the area assigned and report any problems.
Responsibilities:
• Receive maintenance work orders and repairing work notifications then prioritize them in conjunction with instrument engineer.
• Appropriate management of resources for assigned maintenance jobs.
• Coordination with operation team for the issuance of permit to work (PTW) and perform all maintenance activities by strict adherence to company HSEQ policy.
• Carry out day to day preventive, predictive, corrective and emergency maintenance activities on instrumentation and control systems in assigned plant area.
• Participate in plant startup/shutdown and major overhaul activities.
• Diagnosis of faults of a more complex nature. Inspect and test completed work to ensure equipment efficient performance in accordance with requirements.
• Identify areas for improvement in the activities performed and assist the concerned personnel to carry out modifications and improvements to the system.
• Provide field supervision over the execution of critical maintenance activities of the equipment and ensure that the problems are resolved with minimum down time.
• Participate in complex maintenance and repair activities carried out by specialists as required.
• Assist in projects execution for forthcoming new projects being implemented, participate construction & commissioning activities and ensure that these activities are carried out in accordance with the safety and quality guidelines set by the company.
• ISO - 9001, 14001 and OH&S 18001 co-ordination by maintaining regular records and conducting internal/ external audits.
• Lead a team of contractors and junior staff for purposes of asset maintenance and necessary reworks in the assigned plant area as and when required.
• To train the new trainees.
• To maintain the spare parts and carry out necessary technical evaluation and inspection of newly procured spares.
