Develop and submit Inspection Test Plans (ITPs), Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS), and various inspection/testing procedures (NDT, PMI, pressure test, pickling & passivation, galvanizing, painting, pneumatic test, packing, shipping & handling) for client approval, ensuring alignment with project specifications and applicable standards.
Lead pre-inspection meetings with clients to finalize ITPs and align expectations on inspection and testing requirements.
Review shop floor drawings prior to production to ensure compliance with design and quality specifications.
Conduct inspections across all project stages—from material receipt to final inspection—including fit up, visual/dimensional checks, NDT, PMI, hydrotest, surface preparation, pickling/passivation, painting, and Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) for pressure vessels, tanks, structural steel, skid assemblies, piping spools, valves, pumps, motors, and instrumentation.
Reviewed and approved engineering change requests, ensuring that modifications maintained product quality and conformed to project specifications.
Co-ordinate with technicians for SR, PMI, Hardness Test and Witnessed Non Destructive Testing such as Liquid Penetrant Test, Magnetic Particle Test, Ultrasonic Test and interpreted Radiographic films.
Coordinate client participation for witness and hold points during inspections and testing.
Witness Ferroxyl test, Anodizing of Zirconium, Ferrite Test, Dry Film Thickness, Holiday Test, Adhesion Test (Dolly, Knife, Hammer & CuSO4), PMI Test, Wet Analysis, Hardness Test, Tensile Test, Bend Test, Impact Test, Macroscopic Examination and review of all Test reports as per project specification.
Prepare Sub IAPs for Level 1 and above subcomponents by reviewing sub vendor POs, ITPs, and quality procedures, and submit them for client approval.
Witness inspection activities at sub-vendor facilities, including material inspections, hydrotests, pneumatic tests, and functional tests, based on approved Sub IAPs.
Raise and track NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports) for quality issues and ensure timely resolution and closure.
Compile and maintain the Manufacturers Record Book (MRB) and ensure proper documentation of all inspection activities; obtain inspection release notes from clients.
Coordinate PQR and WPQR activities with third party agencies for welding process qualifications.
Maintain welder continuity records to ensure certification validity and compliance.
Leading and facilitating external audits, including ASME U & R stamp certification audits, Saudi Aramco 9COM approval and client/vendor quality assessments, by ensuring full compliance with applicable codes and
documentation requirements, resulting in successful approvals and certifications.
