Responsible for the continuous running of equipment and machinery in 11 factories. Involved in control PLC automation and monitoring devices and occasionally in the manufacture of items that will help in maintenance.
Checks electrical products for proper listings, and insures all products are installed in compliance with all listing requirements and electrical Fire and Life Safety standards
Plays a vital role in the efficiency, development and progress of manufacturing and processing industries.
Working with other professionals in order to improve production facilities, reduce the incidence of costly breakdowns and develop strategies to improve overall reliability and safety of factories, personnel and production processes.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Demonstrate previous knowledge & experience in a Multi Skilled Maintenance role particularly in relation to electrical, PLC, automation control maintenance services
Inspects, with visual observation and electrical testing equipment, new installations and alterations of electrical wiring and equipment in and on public plant.
Checks, visually and mechanically, such items as circuit loads, sizes of conductors and raceways, connections and taping, over current protection and the use of approved service-related devices, fixtures, and equipment.
Carrying out routine scheduled maintenance work and responding to equipment faults.
Diagnosing electrical and control breakdown problems.
Fitting new parts and making sure equipment is working correctly.
Carrying out quality inspections on jobs.
Liaising with client departments, customers and other engineering and production colleagues.
Arranging specialist procurement of fixtures, fittings or components.
Controlling maintenance tools, stores and equipment.
Monitoring and controlling maintenance costs.
Dealing with emergencies, unplanned automation & control problems and repairs.
Working with specialist equipment, such as programmable logic controllers (PLC), which control machinery on factory assembly lines.
Managing and Writing maintenance strategies to help with installation and commissioning guidelines.
Ensuring there is continuous cover of the machinery and equipment in case of breakdowns.
Supervise electrical works when new projects are undertaken
Support the company in increasing profitability by managing resources efficiently and making necessary recommendations.
Dismantling big factories from middle east region, and reassemble it again in Africa
Dealing with all kind of (diesel generators) troubleshooting and maintenance arranging a spare parts for it brand Volvo, caterpillar, Perkins..etc
Full responsibility of supplying electrical power to 11 factories by using diesel generators.
Responsible for the continuous running of equipment and machinery in the factory.
Working with other professionals in order to improve and inspect the production facilities, reduce the incidence of costly breakdowns and develop strategies to improve overall reliability and safety of factories, personnel and production processes.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide prompt response to inquiries whenever there is a control & PLC automation breakdown, and resolve the issue as quickly as possible
Ensure that equipment’s are in good working order so as to prevent disruption of activities
Installation of fresh electrical components and fittings new PLC system.
Recommend replacement for old or faulty electrical components or fittings to the management
Assist in forecasting requirements, creating a budget and scheduling expenses for the electrical department.
Prepares and/or maintains reports, files, and written correspondence.
Determines work priorities, assigns work, and oversees the work of Electrical Inspectors.
Reviews materials to be used prior to the start of work
Follows-up as needed to perform additional inspections during each phase of construction (initial through final)
Ensure that all electrical gadgets and instruments are switched off after close of work daily
