Construction Engineer Tank
Review and interpret tank drawings, specifications, and standards (API 650/620, AWWA, ASME, etc. Coordinate with design engineers on constructability and field modifications Develop construction methods, sequences, and work plans for tank erection.
Supervise tank fabrication, erection, and installation activities Monitor progress against schedule and resolve site issues Coordinate subcontractors (welding, NDT, blasting, painting, insulation).
Enforce HSE requirements, especially confined space, hot work, and lifting operations
Conduct toolbox talks, risk assessments, and method statements (JSA/JHAL/TRA)
Ensure safe erection practices (shell plates, roofs, wind girders.

Lead and manage all mechanical construction activities for tank projects from mobilization to handover Supervise mechanical engineers, supervisors, and subcontractors on site, ensure construction complies with project specifications, drawings, and applicable codes (API 650/620, ASME, AWWA)
Plan and control mechanical work sequences, manpower, and equipment utilization
Review and approve method statements, ITPs, and risk assessments (JSA/JHA)
Oversee tank fabrication, erection, welding, NDT, hydrotesting, and commissioning activities
Coordinate with QA/QC to ensure weld quality, inspection compliance, and NCR closure
Enforce HSE requirements, especially for hot work, confined space entry, and lifting operations
Interface with client, consultant, and thirdparty inspectors for inspections and approvals
Monitor progress against schedule and implement corrective actions for delays
Verify material compliance, MTCs, and mechanical completion documentation
Support cost control manages.

RESPONSIBILITIES

 Monitoring & assuring the correct progress achievements of the project on daily basis
and making reports for the management.
 Job safety analysis, permit to work processing for the different site activities.
 Implementation of HSE/PTW Procedures for safe working at site.
 Construction of 1nos Floating roof tank of 66m Dia and 2nos cone fixed roof of 45 m
Dia and 2 nos. Cone fixed roof of 20m dia.
 Coordinating with Client representatives & third-party inspectors.
 Job safety analysis, permit to work processing for the different site activities.
 Implementation of HSE/PTW Procedures for safe working at site.
 Continuous monitoring of critical activities such as confined space entries, hot work,
working at height.
 Compiling Request for Inspection to client for the completed Tasks.
 Site in charge for structural steel erection
 Also working as site coordinator, equipment controlling manpower distributor for the
as per site Requirements.
 Planning, coordinating, execution of normal production activities.
 Experience in Vessels & Chimney Fabrication.
 Checking the hydro test for UG/AG piping checking of loops file required for
documentation.
 Execution of piping as per ISO drawing with respect to P&ID.
 Conducting piping layout studies, checking piping general arrangement drawings, and
isometrics.
 Field experience as site Engineer for mechanical construction and co-ordination
between construction and site work for conformance with project requirements.
 Checking all pipe line as per ISO drawing; (Steel pipe line).
 Monitoring & maintaining daily and weekly progress of fit up.
 Managing Fit-up inspection as per given Design, Drawing and joint Design and PLAN/
ISO Drawing.
 Checking layout drawing, Piping & equipment G.A / Isometrics drawings.
 Interface closely with pipeline layout group to resolve pipe routing issues.
 Review of Isometrics drawings with respect of P&ID, GA, equipment drawings.
 Possess good leadership qualities, comprehensive problem-solving abilities and
willingness to learn.
