Responsible for the day to day operations and management of people within the stores function: these includes stores assistants and delivery van drivers. Ensured warehouse space is utilised effectively, kept clean and orderly. Ensured the storage of goods at the right places to feed business operations. Ensured the proper handling of goods delivered in and out of the stores. Ensured orders are processed effectively and efficiently to meet customers time scale and requirements. Record and Communicate all stores inventory reports to the General Manager for attention.

Oversaw and managed the smooth functioning of the warehouse on a daily basis. Ensured the proper handling and storage of supplies brought into the warehouse. Supervised and coordinated unloading and stocking of inbound shipments and the picking and shipping of outbound orders, ensuring accuracy and timeliness with both product and paperwork. Maintained security of warehouse and safety of all associates and equipment, reporting any accidents and conveying any issues to General Manager. Planned the mapping and execution of monthly floor moves and communicated with the General Manager to ensure corporate standards are met. Performed quality control inspections, along with regular weekly and monthly inventory checks.
Assisted the Warehouse Manager in maintaining the smooth operation of the warehouse. Ensured the storage of the right amount of materials, goods and products in the right location to feed the business’s operational and customer demand. Co-ordinated and monitored the receipt, storage and dispatch of goods. In conjunction with the Warehouse Manager, implemented warehouse management systems and working practices in line with best practices. Ensured security of Warehouse environment and maintain access control, ensuring housekeeping standards are maintained at all times. Monitored stock levels in order to highlight minimum and excess levels. Record and communicate all excess or shortage issues to the relevant Materials Analyst.
