As a Country Manager, i was responsible for total of 6 Outlet Stores and a Central Kitchen. Opened two new stores for the company while operating as Country Manager. My roles & responsibilities are as given below:

Develop Operational Plans

From communications to warehousing, it was up to me as a Country Manager to ensure that all aspects of a business operate smoothly. They ensure that a business’s in-country affiliate adheres to all country regulations and cultural guidelines. Was also key to develop plans for company growth and improvement of sales.

Implement Brand Strategies
Was responsible for building a company’s brand in Kuwait. Was responsible to devise advertising and promotional plans and involve in product positioning and global brand marketing development.

Generate Progress Reports

Used to continually assess company progress, sales and marketing successes and compile reports to submit to superiors in corporate headquarters. Was responsible to present reports regarding budgets, sales growth or declines, new business leads and regulatory compliance.

Recruit and Train Staff

As a Country Manager, had to oversee the hiring and training of staff in Kuwait. Was involved in all aspects of staff selection, training development, scheduling and ongoing professional development of employees. As a successful Country Manager, i demonstrated strong communication, organizational and negotiation skills. Was a motivated self-starter with the ability to work with little or no supervision and possess the ability to assemble and manage teams. Presentation, analytical and planning skills were part of my every day job. Above-average people management, customer service and leadership skills were crucial for my role. In addition to these capabilities, my main priority can be summarized as given below:

Management - To oversee all aspects of business operations, including recruiting and training staff and maintaining budgets

Regional expertise - Had to possess a deep understanding of the country’s local politics to enforce laws and regulations

Strategic planning - another key part of this role was using research to develop brand strategies and implement them to promote company products and services

I have been in the hotel industry for more than fifteen (15) years now. During this period I had the opportunity in managing my team towards achieving goals. Have proven to be a motivator and shown creativity and flexibility in analyzing situations. - Manage operations of all outlets and report to F& B Manager
- Achievement of the business’s strategic objectives
- Coordinating with all departments to achieve the company objectives
- Maintenance of quality and service standards
- Development and maintenance of written systems for each department
- Development of employee training systems and oversight of their implementation
- Organise the performance review of employees carried twice yearly
- Checking of client invoices and function reports
- Work with the Sales & Marketing department on implementation of the Marketing Plan
- Supervise the Restaurant Managers in the management of functions and logistics
- Manager the business’s safety, security and hygiene systems
- Manage the supply, security and cost of beverage stock, including monthly stocktaking and reconciliation
- Ensure the successful resolution of customer complaints
