Overseeing new products development and offerings
Introduced new product offerings such as leather items (menus, bill holders, certificate holders…) to generate sales.
Negotiated prices with gift items (pens, USBs, keychains, Power banks…) wholesalers and importers to increase our product offering.
Developed notebook brand which I called “Scribble notebook”
Created a website for Scribble www.scribblenotebook.com to generate interest in the brand.
After an extensive 8 months training program alongside the production manager, I was given more and more responsibilities in the production area, till eventually I was given full control after 4 months to perform the following duties:
Managed a 40, 000 square feet printing and book binding factory.
Supervised a team of 90+ individuals that included, machine operators, machine helpers, drivers…
Performed random quality checks to make sure the high standards are maintained throughout the production process.
Developed production schedules for all jobs on all 22+ various types of machines, including printing, folding, sewing, ratio binding, case making, case-inning.
Coordinated with the graphic design and pre-press departments to supply plates, blocks, visuals to the production department.
Coordinated with the finance department to purchase paper, grey board, foam board, glues, consumables… for all jobs.
Coordinated with maintenance team to fix mechanical, electric and hydraulic problems for all machines.
Preformed job costing analysis on potential jobs for the customer service and sales departments.
Managed all aspects of company online and offline marketing campaigns.
Worked closely with the design team to develop marketing collaterals, such as brochures, business cards, flyers, catalogues.

After proving myself at Paper World where the company was exhibiting, they hired me as a marketing part timer to handle their marketing. In order to achieve my goal, I

• Studied the B2B market to determine which medium to use in order to reach potential customers.
• Researched competitors to determine which methods they were using to promote their business.
• Collected potential company contact details (phone, fax, emails and from online websites and databases such as zawya.com.
• Launched several successful marketing campaigns to target those companies using emails, faxes and by sending catalogues and promotional flyers by post.
• Created and managed the company’s social media profiles on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram… by creating fresh content to engage users and to promote the business.
• Self-taught the basics of web design and online marketing to redesign the Tellurian website www.tellurian-uae.com using the Wix.com online website builder.
- Integrated several new features to the new website including, a blog, a newsletter subscription form, social media buttons, a pop up to encourage users to subscribe to our newsletter or to like us on Facebook.
- Optimized the website using Search Engine Optimization (SEO).
I was hired for 1 week to assist Tellurian Book Production team in the Paper World fair in Dubai, UAE in order to introduce new products such as diaries, notebooks, calendars and other products to potential clients and to process requests for quotes.
Managed accounting records for clients, vendors, banks on Microsoft Dynamic GP; assisted in processing salaries and taxes, assets appreciations and depreciation.
A one month internship to learn about advertising, brainstormed on commercial contents and messaging for the new “Fanta Orange” commercial with staff, amongst other campaigns.
