• Handling all supporting requirements for all broking submissions, marketing and client policies, also preparing any requirements for new/renewal business

• Performing admin works (premium Computation, MRC/RI Slip and filing/maintaining documentation and records);

Underwriting (Property, General Accident & Marine)
• Reviewing applications for insurance to evaluate degree of risk involved and determining acceptance of applications.
• Maintaining and performing departmental policies, procedures and objectives.
• Following up the sequential process for the proposal and applies the rates and premium of tariff, and agreements of important clients, sponsor and brokers.
• Initialing the policy/endorsement.
• Ensuring that all documents are complete and that all requirements are in accordance with the terms and conditions of the policy.
• Performing proper and adequate data entry.
• Drafting necessary reports need by Branch management and Head Office.
• Receiving and maintaining contacts with clients, agents and brokers.
• Reviewing the pre-cover inspection report prior issuing a policy.
• Able to explain the underwriting to the clients.
• Keeping full record of policies underwritten and decisions made
• Supporting management for Market Research for product improvisation and development and Client/Broker Relationship
• Issuance of various Insurance documents Including Quotations, Policies, Reinsurance slips, Renewals Advices, Cover Notes and Endorsements.
• Compiling Monthly Production/ Renewal Report
Responsibilities (Marine Claims):
• Settlement of Marine Claims, of all classes i.e. Import, Export, Inland, MULC, General Average & Hull.
• Correspondence with surveyors, branches and clients regarding claims.
• Correspondence with WK Webster regarding Exports & G.A Claims.
• Maintain Statistics of Outstanding and Paid claims at Head Office
• Filing works.
• Assisting other team members.
Responsibilities (Casualty and Special Lines):
• Issuance of various underwriting documents Including Quotations, Policies, Premium Invoices, Renewals Advices and Endorsements.
• Maintain the statistical data of the department’s underwritten premium in the current year and the comparison between current and preceding year
• Handling the ginning operation at the Head Office. This includes monitoring of branches, monitoring of per party risk limit for a risk location and monthly MIS report to the management.
• Communicating with Branches, Brokers and Reinsurance Department.
• Correspondence with Banks regarding Bank Limits.
• Filing Works.
• Assisting other team members.
Diploma in Insurance (DIP CII)
Relevant Coursework: Fire Insurance, Motor Insurance, Organization of Insurance Business, Insurance Marketing, Life Insurance, Marine Insurance, Accident Insurance, Engineering Insurance, Business Research Methods, Statistical Inference, Business Economics. Achievements: Secured First Class first position with a Merit Certificate for having highest score (20 As out of 20 advance professional courses in Masters of Commerce Program)
