Responsible for Logistics, Fleet Management, Remote Sites and Procurement for Olive Group who provide secure transport and support services to International Oil Companies:
Logistics: Developed Air/Overland/Ocean logistics strategy model. Negotiated and managed commercial agreements with local and regional logistics support providers:
o Controlled freight from origin to Basra oil fields via multiple routes, modes and customs clearances ensuring on time mobilisation for Exxon, Shell, BP & Fluor.
o Redesigned supply chain including outsourcing Kuwait Hub to save $450k/year.
o Optimised Internal Equipment Request process to reduce average delivery time by a week.
o Transitioned spreadsheet inventory to Microsoft AX ERP to create real time visibility.
o Designed 4PL ‘Logistics Management System’ for Shell Iraq.
Fleet Management: Managed fleet of 600 armoured Landcruisers:
o Implemented Fleet Software to measure then manage KPIs and achieve 98% availability.
o Tracked fast/slow/obsolete parts to increase stock turns & save $0.5m cash tied up in stock.
o Designed refurbishment plan with Al Futtaim (Toyota) to extend operating life by 3 years.
o Improved safety to reduce TRCF to 1.16 (below the 1.74 Oil & Gas industry average).
Remote Sites: Managed deployable rig site camps and P+L responsibility for 180 room client camp. Grew EBIT to $350k/month, ensured HSE compliance & customer satisfaction (Shell, Weir, Fluor).
Procurement: Conducted tenders and managed sourcing contracts to support operations on Oil & Gas remote sites in Iraq, Algeria and Kenya. Managed $40m spend on armoured vehicles & equipped 3, 500 armed personnel. Imported specialist cargo (radar) for Baiji Refinery.
• Responsible for all product operations: Transport, Warehousing, Forwarding & Clearance.
• KSA Fleet P+L responsibility: Expanded Overland (DXB, BAH, AMM). Entered Reefer market.
• Optimised processes in 5 offices across 3 provinces: Freight Fwd jobs/employee/day (+21%), Exceeded customer KPI's (Sabic 95% DOTIF), Reduced costs (tires -11%)
• In addition to normal duties assigned acting GM for largest province (Jul 09 to Mar 10):
o Led 225 personnel across a range of logistics products.
o Increased province monthly EBIT (to $433k).
o Reduced province total bad debt (-23%).
o Right sized province manpower (-9%).
• Negotiated takeover of distribution planning for Shell F/Goods to optimise assets/add value.
• Managed 150, 000m2 (76, 000m2 warehouse) 90k pallet 3PL DC from start up.
• Processed 240 daily truck transactions, improved dock-to-rack, damage & accuracy KPI’s.
• Ensued smooth flow of inbound/outbound goods in all zones: Ambient, A/C, Frozen & DG.
• Successfully implemented a WMS (Exceed) deployment with SAP integration.
• Developed port to manufacturing to supermarket supply chain solution for Unilever Arabia.
• Developed budget and stepped up to cover Executive Director role in his absence.

• Managed various power generation projects worldwide including Aggreko's largest at that time: Country Project Manager for Saudi Electricity Company (200MW) with P&L responsibility for $14m.
