For TOTAL E&P Brunei - MLS Gas Platform Project
• Developed Instrument & Telecommunication Pre-Commissioning and Commissioning procedure in-line with Company OPERCOM methodology.
• Development of Limit of System Handover (LOSH) drawings; Task include ensuring correct plant system, sub-system breakdown and sub-system limit mark-up drawings (P&ID drawing, Instrument Interconnection Cable Block diagram, Telecom Network System Block diagram).
• Lead Instrument construction team in mechanical completion activities by preparing pre-commissioning and commissioning plan & strategy.
• Plan, supervise and coordinate Instrument loop test activity, ensuring it is in-line with sub-system priority for systematic system handover to client.
• Assist in ICAPS Instrument & Telecom database preparation for pre-commissioning status index and commissioning technical database. Ensure all instruments, I/O points, item type code has been assigned and uploaded with relevant ICAPS© check sheet and Functional Test sheet with correct subsystem assignment for systematic completion handover to client.
• Lead and ensure all instrument activities complies with the Company (TOTAL) Environmental Health and Safety Procedures, as well as occupational health and safety regulations.
• Direct, guide and witness Wellhead Hydraulic Control Panel (WHCP) Site Acceptance and Functional Test.
• Supervise Fire & Gas system, ESD system and Deluge system Functional test.
• Participates Mechanical Completion walk downs, Pre-startup Safety Review (PSSR), identification of construction and commissioning punch works.
• Reviews of Dossier achieving Ready for Commissioning (RFC) and Achievement of Commissioning (AOC) status prior submission to client for signature.
• Lead Instrument shutdown activity for Acid Gas Flare. Provide leadership and direction to shutdown execution team during all stages of shutdown preparation and site execution with a focus on HSE, quality, timeliness of work and cost management.
• Planning spare parts, tools, logistics, manpower and work execution to meet required response times during shutdown activities.
• Oversees and ensures all Analyzer designed modification as per latest IFC drawing approved by client and work is carry-out in-line with the target schedule.
• Supervise instrument related activities during equipment commissioning and performance test. Ensure all clients raise issues regarding instrument functions, logic and alarms/trips setting are corrected, recorded, witness, accepted and signed-off by client representative.
For Taganito HPAL Project
• Develop Project QC documentation flow control, Task include maintaining good record keeping of activities carried out and inspection reports, surveillance report, Inspection Test Plan (ITP) report, Method of statements, etc as required on the project deliverables.
• Responsible for supervision of field quality control, ensure that detailed quality related activities are undertaken on the project complies with the contractual requirements of the client.
• Ensure that the production quality being offered for inspections meet the client’s requirement as identified in the approved Inspection and Test Plan (ITP) and attended by a suitable QC/QA inspector witness, accepted and signed by client at site.
• Attend inspection meeting between client to address issues/problems regarding inspection and quality control related activities such as; inspection for the closure of Exception Items, deviations from the Project Quality Program and the Company Integrated Management System (IMS).
• Responsible for QC deliverables and Final Inspection Dossiers Handover to client.
For PASAR VPS Oxygen Plant Project;
• Responsible for the project construction implementation. Supervise, plan, coordinates and technically direct field supervisor and foreman for all matters pertaining to electrical/instrumentation works and equipment installation.
• Provide assistance to the project manager in administering contractual obligation of the company to ensure that the construction work being performed and the direction of the project is within the scope of the contract. Discuss to the project manager regarding the construction monthly progress billing and accomplishment, material requirement, manpower supply, Energization and commissioning of the project.
• Submit periodic reports to the management, as well as attending coordination meeting with client’s representative, inspectors and subcontractors regarding construction update, change order and design problems.
• Responsible for the approval of materials and equipment requisition slips required by workers. Perform other related functions requires by the management.
For Jubail Export Refinery Package - 6 Project;
• Development of Instrument Pre-Commissioning, Commissioning Procedures and Limit of system handover (LOSH) drawing.
• Responsible to interface with client as required, attend internal project meetings, ensure the progress of instrument commissioning discipline in accordance to schedule.
• Assist in ICAPS Instrument database preparation for pre-commissioning status index and commissioning technical database. Ensure all instrument I/O points, item type code has been assigned and uploaded with a relevant ICAPS© forms and in correct subsystem assignment.
• Direct/Supervise loop checking and function testing of Emergency Shutdown System (ESD), Fire & Gas Detection System (FGS) and Instrument / Electrical Interface activity.
• Assigned specific area of responsibility to Instrument Foreman/Technicians to ensure a smooth and timely completion of priority subsystem.
• Participates Mechanical Completion walk downs, Pre-startup Safety Review (PSSR), identification of construction and commissioning punch works.
• Supervise and monitoring all onsite instrumentation pre-commissioning and commissioning activity to ensure they comply with the overall established project scope, schedule and work plan, ensuring ARAMCO standard are strictly adhere and applied to completed work, as well as Company Environmental Health and Safety Procedures.
• As Instrumentation discipline focal point for assigned Area project construction execution, control and coordination. Task Plan and direct the work activities within assigned construction area in alignment with available materials, tools, construction equipment, and sub-system priorities.
• Direct and supervises instrumentation works/activity on vendor equipment (mainly GE turbine/Compressors). This covers construction monitoring/weekly Progress report, system turnover, and issue punch list items to expedite construction completion.
• Coordinate with sub-contractor construction team and re-checks all IFC drawing based on up-dated drawing as well as coordinating with other discipline as necessary to avoid installation clashing.
• Liaise with Vendor, Project Management Team (PMT), Commissioning and Client for all technical aspect during Fabrication and installation.
• Ensure compliance at all times with the Project Occupational Health and Safety Regulations to promote safe work environment (zero accidents philosophy), as well as environmental Health and Safety Procedures.
• Direct, Supervise and Witness Site Acceptance test and commissioning (functional test) of Harbour Docking System (Berthing Aid System & Quick Release Hook) and Loading Arm Hydraulic Control system. Task includes interfacing with vendor ensure compliance with Company occupational health and safety procedures, similarly compliance with environmental regulation.
• Carried out jointly with construction, a review of the system punch list status to establish the final agreed consolidated punch list category and closing prior to commissioning and start-up.
For CSPC LOP Project;
• Supervise closing all instrument construction punch list. Direct construction team with regards to punch list close out by system priority.
• Carried out with Client representative review of the system punch list status to establish the final agreed consolidated punch list category for the system and closing prior to commissioning and start-up.
For CSPC HDPE Project;
• Participate in Reviewing key engineering drawings, including field and design documents relating to the discipline. Task includes Coordinating with client representatives as delegated to obtain their approval on phases of work completed.
• Organize work and supervise vendors on-site during specific testing and commissioning activities, assist with temporary services and permit control. Ensure compliance at all times with the Company Occupational Health and Safety Procedures as well as environmental regulation.
• Supervise Site acceptance test, loop-checking and final instrument acceptance test. Ensure that the relevant requirements in hook-up drawing, specification are strictly adhere in installation of instruments, witness, accepted and sign-off by the clients or client’s representative.
• Monitor construction team completion progress to achieve “Instrumentation Completion Stage” of agreed systems and sub-systems in conformance with plans, specifications and schedules.
• Carried out with construction team (Client representative & Foreman) review of the system punch list status to establish the final agreed consolidated punch list category for the system prior to commissioning and start-up.
For East Azeri Topside & Drilling Platform Project;
• Direct and supervise all instrument personnel engaged in construction work (PAGA system, Fire & Gas system) to ensure all work is carried out in compliance with the company occupational health and safety procedures as well as environmental regulation.
• Supervise instrument pre-commissioning preparation and activities for all phases of the East Azeri Topside project.
• To provide progress reports to the planning group and all necessary reports to ensure completion status is input into the Project Completions System.
For Qatar Chemical (QChem-1) Project;
• Assigned in Pre-commissioning & Commissioning. Task include PCS logic function test of instruments equipment associated with polyethylene, ethylene and hexane unit, as well as functional test of ESD loops confirming cause and effect matrix.
• Carry out technical review of contractor (CCC) instrumentation and control related work. Task includes site inspection of field instrument installation, hook-up, wiring and termination to assure compliance with project standard specifications.
• Update and as-built instrumentation drawing (instrument loop diagram, instrument piping diagram, instrument hook-up details, instrument data sheet and I/O list as per logic diagram).
• Assigned as Instrument Maintenance supervisor in the newly constructed Gasoline Processing/Blending Facility/Tank farm and harbour docking operation.
• Direct, supervise and control all works for instruments maintenance and calibration. Determine long term instrument maintenance policy and oversees detailed planning of maintenance activities and programs. Task include developing guidelines, best practice and procedures for maintenance of pressure, level, flow, and temperature instrument, fire & gas system.
• Trained some newly hired technicians on how to perform field calibration and how to approach and correct faults on various types of instruments and also how to perform in a safety manner avoiding unscheduled shutdown and damaged to company’s property.
• Liaise with vendors and contractors for routine maintenance intervention and warranty claims as part of project handover period.
• Review calibration range against data sheet of all level transmitters based on their actual Tank installation.
• Liaise with vendors and contractors for maintenance intervention, instrument failure and warranty claims as part of handover.
• Investigate instrument failure, collect technical data and issuance of instrument analysis maintenance report.
• Prepare of Electrical and Instrument Maintenance Database. Create Electrical and Instrument spare part database and catalogue form. Accepting and preparing technical queries of instruments and spare part from field operations.
• Carry out wellhead hydraulic control panel (WHCP) failure investigation and operational test. Task include identifying their failure and their causes, troubleshoot and make recommendation for corrective action.
For ADNOC Ruwais Tank Farm Upgrading Project;
• Supervising hot transfer of existing management system with the new system. Ensuring proper coordination to avoid unnecessary shutdown.
• Supervise Marshalling cabinet wiring termination and loop checking prior to tie-in.
• Supervise commissioning and start-up of Tank Farm Facility field instruments associated with flow, level, pressure and temperature such as transmitters, switches, control/shutdown valves and ESD system.
• Monitor status on progress of instrument commissioning activities. Ensuring Tankage system operability can be achieved without delay.
• Commissioning and start-up of wellhead hydraulic control panel (WHCP), ESD system, Fire & Gas system and associated field instruments.
• Assist Instrument Commissioning Engineer on pre-commissioning and commissioning of instruments associated with Gas Compressor, Gas Turbine, Power Generation and Production Facility. Task include monitoring progress status of instrument pre-commissioning and commissioning activities.
• Working closely with Engineering in solving encountered problems during loop checking and commissioning and reflecting as-built of undocumented instruments loops.
• Responsible for implementing, execution and completion of all instrument pre-commissioning activities.
• Liaise with construction team to optimize the release of sub-system for commissioning.
For Gasco Buhasa Plant;
• Reporting to the nominated Maintenance Supervisor. Provides accurate maintenance history and closeout reports of all completed work as per company requirement.
• Provide service support to Operations with regards to instrument maintenance, calibration, instrument troubleshooting and repair.
• Carry out preventive maintenance task on on-line instruments associated with process, Fire & Gas system, Oil/Gas Separator Plant, Power Generation and rotating equipment such as Gas Turbine, Gas Compressor and Power Turbine.
• Carry out work as directed on instrument equipment within assigned area of the plant during emergency and annual shutdown.
• Support to other discipline as required in fault finding of equipment. Task includes identifying failure and their cause, troubleshooting and make recommendation for corrective action.
• Ensure compliance at all times with Company Environmental, Health and Safety Procedures, as well as high standard of housekeeping and safe work practices in and around the plant.
For Bunduq Oil Company;
• Carry out preventive maintenance on on-line instrument equipment. Task includes recalibration of instruments associated with the production & wellhead platform, attend to routine work schedule and urgent work request by operation to ensure smooth production operation.
• Carry out wellhead maintenance. Task includes calibration and servicing of wellhead hydraulic control panel (WHCP) and associated instruments, production/water injection platform, oil/water separator associated instruments.
• Ensure compliance to company high standard of housekeeping and safe work practices in and around the platform, as well as compliance with protection of the environment.
For Abu Dhabi Oil Company (ADOC);
• Carry out preventive maintenance on on-line instrument equipment. Task includes recalibration of instruments associated with the production & wellhead platform, attend to routine work schedule and urgent work request by operation to ensure smooth production operation.
• Carry out wellhead maintenance. Task includes calibration and servicing of wellhead hydraulic control panel (WHCP) and associated instruments, production/water injection platform, oil/water separator associated instruments.
• Ensure compliance to company high standard of housekeeping and safe work practices in and around the platform, as well as compliance with protection of the environment.
• Involve in modification/upgrading of control panel, rehabilitation of instrument pneumatic/process impulse line, construction and commissioning of instruments associated with Crude Distillation and Fractionation Unit. Revamping and upgrading of field instruments associated with gasoline processing facility.
• Servicing, overhauling and bench calibration of Control Valves, Motorized Valves, Relief Valves and Shut-down valves.
