Duties and Responsibilities: • Accepts responsibility and accountability for providing total patient care of designated patients.
• Identifies ongoing needs, plans and provides direct nursing care to assign patient's in accordance with patient's needs medical plans and procedures.
• Communicates and or documents all relevant information as per established standards.
• Establishes positive professional interpersonal relationship with patients and families, co-workers and physicians.
• Reports equipment failure, safety, and security issues and or shortage of supply inventory to Head Nurse.
• Acts as a preceptor/mentor to new staff.
• Accepts responsibility to current clinical practice by engaging in various forms of continuing education/in service.
• Follows all hospital related policy and procedures.
• Helps/leads unit- based performance activities.
• Evaluates goals and objectives of care plans.
• Encourages function of health and precaution of illness at all times.
