PMC HSSE Manager
The Project, worth $1.5 billion, covers the design (Civil and MEP) and construction of 7.2 km metro line including 3 no. elevated metro stations, namely QEZ (Qatar Economic Zone), Barwa and Al Wakra in Doha.
Reported to the Client Qatar Railways Company; Lead a team of 4 Deputy HSE Managers, 12 Senior HSE Supervisors, and 48 HSE Officers
Duties as HSSE Manager included:
Provided positive leadership within the area of operation and promotion of adoption of best practice.
Promotion of enthusiastic HSSE culture that delivered a positive commitment to and engaged all employees in the continuous improvement of HSSE performance.
Monitored and reported on the progress and effectiveness of the HSSE management system against performance standards and made recommendations for improvement as appropriate.
Monitored and reported on operational HSSE performance and made recommendations for improvement and ensured that effective action was taken as needed.

BESIX /Orascom JV GEMIII Grand Egyptian Museum Construction project - Cairo, Egypt
Project HSSE Manager
The BESIX/ OC joint venture was awarded the contract, worth $1.3 billion, to construct the state-of-the-art Grand Museum, which will showcase approximately 100, 000 ancient Egyptian artifacts in the main exhibition hall and will also include a conference and learning center to educate visitors on Ancient Egyptian history.

As HSSE Manager responsibilities for the functions in Key Result Areas were as follows:
Provided HSE leadership, support and coaching for the site; Provided HSE program direction to all personnel, identifying and addressing the gaps through HSE assessments, inspections, field visits and/or mini-audits ensuring that corrective actions are effective.
Handled day to day monitoring of HSE Policies, Plans & Procedures at site level and conducted audits, assessing and establishing full ‘Safety Integrated Management’ programmes and resolving bottlenecks.
