Participates in the development and preparation of short-term and long-
range plans and budgets based upon broad organization goals and
objectives. Recommends their adoption to the BOD.
* Leads and conducts the Company’s Long term Strategic Planning and
Budget Setting Activity.
* Develops organization’s policies and goals that cover operations,
personnel, financial performance, and growth of the functions and/or
business units mentioned above.
* Evaluated several Mergers and Acquisitions Deal for the Bank.
* Directs, administers, and coordinates the internal operational activities of
the organization in accordance with policies, goals, and objectives
established by the Board of Directors.
* Leads and directs the following functions and/or business units: bank
operations, loans group, human resources, information systems,
accounting, treasury, sales, general services and business development.
* Directs internal operations to achieve budgeted results and other financial
criteria, and to preserve the capital funds invested in the Company.
* Ensures that all activities and operations are performed in compliance with
local regulations and laws governing business operations.
* Directs the development and establishment of adequate and equitable
personnel policies throughout the organization, including compensation
policies and employee benefit plans. Ensures that the interests and welfare
of employees as individuals are preserved and protected.
* Plans, organizes, and controls all the day-to-day activities of the Bank.
• Directs, administers, and coordinates the internal operational activities of the organization in accordance with policies, goals, and objectives established by the Board of Directors.
• Leads and directs the following functions and/or business units: bank operations, loans group, human resources, information systems, accounting, treasury, sales, general services and business development.
• Assists the CEO/President in the development of organization policies and goals that cover operations, personnel, financial performance, and growth of the functions and/or business units mentioned above.
• Ensures that the Board of Directors, Senior Management, employees and the Bank in overall, are in compliance with the rules and regulations of Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP), Philippine Deposit Insurance Corporation (PDIC), Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR), Social Security System (SSS), Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) and other government regulatory bodies.
• Functions as an independent and objective body that reviews and evaluates compliance issues/concerns within the organizations
• Oversees the Compliance Program, manuals and systems and updates it as necessary, subject to Board approval, and promotes its effective implementation;
• Reports to the Board of Directors the overall compliance of the Bank, compliance issues requiring immediate management attention and the results of compliance testing; and recommends possible courses of actions to address compliance matters/issues elevated
• Responsible in overseeing the internal audit function and for the planning, executing and reporting on operational, financial, regulatory and compliance related audits/reviews.
• To be accountable to the audit committee on all matters related to the performance of its mandate as provided in the internal audit charter.
• To develop an audit plan based on robust risk assessment, including inputs from the Board of Directors, audit committee and senior management and ensure that such plan is comprehensive and adequately covers regulatory matters. Also ensure that the audit plan, including revisions thereto, shall be approved by the audit committee.
• Analyze and appraise complex operational processes and provide an objective opinion on the efficiency and effectiveness of the operations and notes any process improvement
• Evaluate and improve the effectiveness of risk management, controls and governance process in the branches and head office units to help the Bank achieve its objectives.
• Oversee and supervise the performance of audit procedures of less experienced audit staffs.
• Report to the Audit Committee on the status of Management Action plans and resolutions as well as performance of the internal audit function on a regular basis.
Involved in the audit and preparation of the financial statements, including
consolidation procedures, for various companies in banking and finance
industries
