Job Description and Duties:
Responsible for the initial assessment of patients, planning and
implementing of care without direct supervision.
.Assessing the docter while conducting the Labor and Delivery
.Monitering the patient During labor and Delivery
.Monitering the C.T.G, assessing the patient while antenatal
perinatal and postnatal patients.
• Enhanced role through professional practice and supervised
junior staff members as part of ongoing educational process
• Taking report from the previous shift and manage the ward
• Responsible for admitting a client adhering to protocol and
ensuring the preparation of patients for medical and surgical
procedures and ensuring that all the preoperative orders
hasbeen completed, Psychological preparation and support
of client and family
• Responsible for safety of the client at all the times.
Assistance a variety of medical and surgical procedures including
but not limited to oncology, urology, gastrointestinal,
gynaecology, neurology, dermatology orthopaedics,
endocrinology, cardiology, ENT and radiation therapy.
• Calculation and Administration of Medications through IV,
IM, SC, ID and oral routes.
• Meeting the Personal Hygiene and Activities of Daily Living.
• Performing CPR, Establishing IV access
• Gastrostomy, Management of Emergencies like Cardiac and
Respiratory Arrest, Death care, Gastrostomy Colostomy care
• Tools, Machines and Equipments Used:
C.T.G, Thermometers, B.P. Apparatus, Tuberculin, Insulin,
Intramuscular injection syringes, Endo tracheal Tube,
Ventilators, NG tubes, Suture, Needles, Catguts, Syringe
pumps, Defibrillator, Cardiac Monitor, Pulse Oxymeter,
Electrocardiogram.
