Company brief: Yves Rocher is a French cosmetics company that produce and sell botanical beauty in over 90 countries worldwide. The Nordic division with its HQ in Sweden has 250 employees and a small HR department; Comp & Ben Specialist, HR Specialist and HR Director. I started as HR Officer with focus on recruitment, payroll and administration, and in time my role has developed, and I with it, into a HR Specialist.
Key Responsibilities:
A General Administration
Responsible for the follow up HR KPI - sick leave, staff turnover, number of open/specified job applications
Involved in creating and updating company policies including social media policy, dress policy, crisis management policy and participating in negotiations
Ensuring availability of all necessary processes and procedures according to the law with the company
Responsible for the employer branding including career fairs and arranging internships for university students
Tasked with managing various internal projects such as implementing the new company intranet, reconstructing the company restaurant and conducting employee survey
Ensuring proper upkeep and security of all confidential documents.
Preparing, handling and processing of Annual Appraisal and Confidential reports of subordinates.
Keep minutes at meetings and negotiations
B Human Resource Management
Personnel Management
• Involved in hiring, maternity leave, salary, working hours, vacation etc.
• Ensuring HSE compliance in the company and monitoring adherence to the Health and safety risk analysis
• Handling payroll and various personnel administration for 80 blue collars and daily supporting 200 employees in various HR related questions
• Supporting employees orientation, training, wage & salary administration, leave planning & counseling/ grievance handling.
Recruitment, Training & Development
• Entrusted with the responsibility of imparting training to 25 Managers and conducting performance appraisals
• Handling end to end recruitment of various Specialist and Manager positions including handling recruitment agencies
• Making arrangements for induction and orientation programmes for the candidates for making them familiar with company work ethics & culture, ascertaining the specific training needs of employees and accordingly plan, schedule and organize training programmes for improving learning curve.
Employee Relationship Management
• Regularly discussing specific issues with the personnel regarding their grievances, hindrances and undertaking steps for resolving them.
• Determining motivation & satisfaction levels of personnel through personal interaction
Major Accomplishments:
• Successfully recruited 25-30 managers and specialists with high competence and skills
• Participated in implementing the company intranet leading to better communication and information
• Instrumental in modernizing the company canteen, resulting in a better lunch area and reducing headcount
• Assisted in implementing and independently conducting the annual employee satisfaction survey leading to more effective processes and communication in work teams
