Detailed Job Description:
•Provides direct and indirect patient care and professional Nursing services in the care of patients.
•Utilizes Nursing process to obtain nursing histories, Assess patients problems, Identify nursing care priorities, Develop patient care plans and Monitor vital signs record.
•Observes patient response to treatment, monitoring their conditions; records all observations on the patient charts and relays them to the attending physician and/ or to the appropriate nursing personnel.
•Administers and records medications, observes patient’s reaction to medications.
•Assists patients in the treatment or administering of highly specialized therapy, utilizing sophisticated equipment.
•Efficiently carries out doctor’s orders considering timeliness and accuracy.
•Reports to the head nurse all vital information affecting unit operation and patient care.
•Assists in the orientation and training of new staff nurses.
•Carries out other responsibilities that may be assigned.
