Tehama International School is a Government school the calibre of students comprises of expat students from the gulf region. The school is diverse with numerous cultures and nationalities. It is a combined boy and girls’ school with classrooms limited to 20 learners. The Cambridge curriculum is used from key stage 1 to 5. Lessons are dynamic and is driven by technology. I taught English and other core subjects in grade 4.
Achievements: Promoted to head of grade 4, which entails overseeing other grade 4 teachers and leading all year group events. Leading and managing the annual sports and entrepreneur’s event.

I solely taught English as a second language to grade 1 to 6 students. I worked closely with my Chinese colleagues to develop and execute an English curriculum best suited for students who were new to the English language.
Achievements: I was able to successfully enhance students language skills and many were able to communicate in English, which was not possible prior to.

Scottburgh Primary is a large semi-private school which offers the CAPS curriculum. It offers advanced technology and resources to enable dynamic teaching and learning. English was taught as a first language and creative arts consisted of drama, music, and visual arts. The school hosted several sporting events of which I was involved in coaching cricket and cross country.

Vusisizwe is a Government school which ranges from grade 4 to 7. It is a low resourced school which solely relies on government funding. The students come from remote areas of South Africa where English is not their first language spoken. English was taught as a second language whilst Math followed the CAPS curriculum.
