• Manage and oversee the accounting operations at the areas within the scope of responsibility (AP, Treasury and Asset Accounting) and ensuring their compliance with the applicable policies, procedures, statutory requirements, and standards.
• Timely initiate and/or book transactions to have accounts as a fair reflection of activities and position of the company.
• Control the general ledger including direct inputs and data transfers from all subsidiary ledgers, fixed asset register, trade accounts, and cash journal ensuring all accounting and bookkeeping functions are properly executed and all financial postings are correctly coded in line with the approved financial and accounting policies and procedures.
• Perform monthly closings and journal entries and review financial reconciliation of accounts to ensure adequacy and accuracy of all financial data.
• Manage the engagement with the auditors through effective collaboration and prompt and comprehensive responses to assure the successful closure of audit observations for the area(s) within the scope of responsibility.
• Partake in testing the effectiveness of the design and implementation of Internal Controls over Financial reporting (ICoFR) for the area(s) within the scope of responsibility.

* Prepares monthly account reconciliation (Bank Accounts, Accounts Receivable & Accounts
Payable)

variances in comparison to budget
* Manages Inter-company transactions, payables and receivables on a monthly basis to
report to Finance Manager for making decisions.

cash, checks or other forms of payment to banks.

Responsible for the day-to-day work of general ledger including AP/AR/FA/, ensuring
accuracy of data and information with proper supporting documents, approval &
verification of transactions processed by accountants in financial system. Provide accurate
recording of accounting transactions in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting
Principles.
* Preparing and finalizing the month end closing of accounts and ensure that all the
information is recorded correctly and in a timely manner. Liaising with inter departments
& external parties including banks for day to day operations.
* Perform account analysis and reconciliation of sub-ledgers. Review accounting entries
pertaining to P&L & Balance sheet accounts by investigating movements in the balances
to ensure quality/accuracy of financial information & ensure that yearend adjustments
are kept to the minimum.
* Prepare monthly & yearly financial leads, profit & loss statement & balance sheet for
internal management & statutory audits. Ensure reconciliation of accounts, process year
end closing journals required for completion of annual statutory audits. Finalize the audit
schedules, facilitate the auditors with the required information & documents for audit
disclosure.
* Support the budget preparation process at the Business unit level by collecting relevant
business data and projections from line departments and provide relevant analysis and
feedback to enable finalization of the budgets.
