As Risk Manager for all elevated elements of this program, I report directly to the Project Director. A project of USD 3.5 billion, I maintain the consolidated Project Risk Register for the Client (Qatar Rail), while having oversight across all disciplines of all risk and risk mitigation issues. This includes utilizing a variety of tools and techniques to carry Quantitative Risk Analysis and ISO 31000 / COSO based Qualitative Risk Analysis, as well as scenario planning and risk assessment for QR Executive Management and Project Management. This has allowed the Program to gain a clear understanding of the effectiveness of risk control mechanisms as well the impact of future decision making processes.

Employed as Senior Risk Consultant for risk (ISO31000) design and construction of Az Zabirah / Raz Az Zawr aluminum mine, village, refinery, smelter and port (Greenfield site, Saudi Arabia for Ma'aden Minerals), and responsible for operational risks on site in Saudi Arabia; this included conducting an Enterprise Risk appraisal for the life of mine (of 50 years) . Total estimated value of project USD850 million.


• Constructed enterprise risk register for life of Az Zabirah mine Saudi Arabia, and design for all critical infrastructure
• Reviewed and rewrote BCPs for Brisbane Water infrastructure, including reservoirs, pumping stations and waste water facilities

I was responsible for building and facility risk compliance of systems across Asia Pacific, as well as conducting “Single Point of Contact” liaison with Government and security related agencies in the Asia Pacific region and Australia. I maintained the company’s risk and intelligence profile for operations throughout the Asia Pacific and adjusted security policy and implementation where appropriate. I also managed the regions Business Continuity and Crisis Management teams. I had oversight of construction budgets of up to USD40 million (for Greenfield sites in China and India).
