• Managing and guiding the Workshop department in day to day activities of providing various projects with vehicles, heavy equipment, plant, machinery and tools, while ensuring the effective implementation of Quality Management system procedures
• Ensuring that all vehicles are safe and road-worthy, driven by trained drivers and maintained by experienced personnel
• Managing and coordinating the demobilization of Project Plant, spare parts and miscellaneous service equipment
• Monitoring measures and reports on workshop related issues/development plans / achievements within timescales
• Reporting Higher Management on weekly basis regarding various defective equipment's, machineries and vehicles under mechanical division and suggestions for further action
• Performing routine maintenance on equipment and determining when and what kind of maintenance is needed
• Repairing & Maintaining maintenance works of various makes of plant & heavy Equipment's such as Generators ( various capacities from 13.5 kva to 1350 kva), Tower Lights, Dewatering Pumps, Portable Pumps, Pneumatic Pumps, Portable Generators, Air Compressor, Welding Machine, Drum Rollers, Plate Rammers, Plate Compactors, Power Trowels, Diesel Vibratos, Concert Static Pumps, Telehandlers, Forklifts, Trucks, Water Tankers, Boom Trucks, Bobcats
• Troubleshooting & repairing hydraulic system of equipment's, lifting tools, cutting tools, bending tools etc.
• Maintaining inventories of stocks, tools, workshop equipment and other supplies
• Introducing, implementing & managing maintenance programs including planning and corrective, preventive & predictive maintenance operations
• Providing technical and functional leadership for operations & maintenance, quality implementation & development planning
• Organising materials and equipment needed to execute the maintenance jobs in order to meet maintenance objectives
• Ensuring strategic utilization of available resources & machinery; ensuring smooth & uninterrupted operations of the unit and maintaining reports for MIS and developing alternatives for decision-making
• Supervising total operations & maintenance including technical inputs for innovative methodologies, identifying & clearing bottlenecks and advising on process changes for improvements
• Executing cost saving techniques and austerity measures to achieve reduction in the deployment of resources for the targeted output & quality
• Identifying the areas of bottlenecks & breakdown; taking steps to achieve zero accident & customer complaints through continuous monitoring and application of tools like root cause analysis
• Managing multi-disciplinary team of Production Optimization, Maintenance Group and Production Services (budget, cost control & reporting) in order to reach production targets and facilities uptime by prioritizing Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) aspects
• Ensuring manpower is updated and trained and motivated so that the estate projects can be accomplished in a safe, timely and cost-effective manner
• Developing project baselines, monitoring & controlling projects with respect to cost, resource deployment, time overruns and quality compliance to ensure satisfactory execution of projects
• Analyzing the user needs and requirements for determining feasibility of project within time and cost constraints
• Liaising with team members for ensuring smooth progress of project work; ensuring adherence to quality norms throughout the implementation process
