DURATION: AUG 4 2007 to DEC 15 2008.
Roles and responsibilities: • Erection of the PC Pipe racks and welding of the embedded plate to gusset plate.
• Padding elevation inspection for the column plates before steel structure erection.
• Planning for the WQT as per project requirements.
• Preparation of quality documents as per work activities and completing inspection activities by Client.
• Verification of Material test certificates against to applicable material specifications, purchase orders and dimensional standards.
• Interpretation of RT films and NDT Reports.
• Verification of various test reports like PWHT, Hardness, Ferrite measurement and PMI.
• Supervise the QC Inspectors and depute them for various inspection activities.
• Coordination with client to resolve the inspection and technical issues.
• Verification of isometric and P& ID drawings.
• Ensure the welding parameters and monitor the temperature with digital thermometer and shielding & purging gas flow rate against the approved welding procedure specification.
• Day to day supervision of ongoing mechanical/welding activities at the construction site and see to it that the work is in accordance with the engineering design and specification and within the scope of work.
• Request & conduct inspection of ongoing mechanical & welding activities as per Saudi Aramco Typical Inspection Plan (SATIP)
• Perform pre-welding, in-process and post welding inspection and ensure that it follows the approved welding procedure specification (WPS) & other applicable standards.
• Review of Welder Job Clearance Certificates for suitability of work requirements prior to commence the welding activity.
• Prepare documentation of ongoing welding activities such as Daily Weld Production Report, Daily Weld Fit - Up Inspection Report, Weld Summary Report & Selection of Joints for Nondestructive Testing as per Standards requirements.
• Review of Radiographic Test Film of repair welds for analysis of defects and giving direction to welders for efficient way of repairing.
• Monitoring of Welder Performance & Rejection Rate as per Client Quality Requirement.
• Review and prepare weld numbering on isometric drawings and marking of welds for proper weld traceability.
• Prepared requisition for non-destructive examination of welds base on the applicable NDT method and to extent required by the applicable Code and Standards.
• Prepare Hydrostatic Test Package of completed piping for Saudi Aramco Representative approval.
• Supervised/ Witnessed Hydrostatic testing of Pipeline & Wellhead Piping & Field hydrostatic testing of Valves.
• Prepared updates and closed out of punch list /exception items for project closed out.
• Coordinates with client and sub-contractors representative to resolve any quality problems or issues.
• Preparation and compilation of quality reports/records and other quality related document for activity acceptance and final project handover.
• Leading group of QC inspectors basing upon requirements.
• Performing raw material inspection.
• Material test certificate (MTC) verified with standard.
• Ensuring the materials are received as per the standard requested in the purchase order.
• Making daily weld fit up report.
• Ensure the NDT personnel are approved by client.
• Assuring all the activities are done as per the standards & codes and documented properly.
• Preparing & monitoring Quality control documents.
• Maintaining calibration records for the instruments.
• Coordination with external/third party inspector & fulfill the requirement as per the approved procedure.
• Ensure the electrodes tracking record are maintained properly.
• Preparation of review of test packs & as built drawings.
• Review the results of RT & UT.
• Visual inspection for root & final pipe welding.
• Reviewing calibration certificates for welding equipments.
• Preparation of final inspection reports.
