• To involve in the construction, pre-commissioning and commissioning activities. Also involve in the start up the new system.
• Coordinate with third party inspector and EPC consultant(PMC)for any engineering related issue during project management and execution.
• Review modification and design change of the existing system through MOC(Management Of Change).
• Involve in the pre loop checking and loop checking activities for the new plants.
• Review functional design specification of DCS, ESD and MCM system.
• Assist vendor and closely involved with compressor's OEM and CCC vendor when performing surge test and compressor performance test and tuning.
• Outline and preparation of Ready For Commissioning, Mechanical Completion Certificates and Handover Dossiers.
• To involve in preparation of typical design drawings include loop diagrams, instrument hook-up, termination diagrams and interconnection diagrams.
• To inspect installation and commissioning of instrument equipment to comply with design specification such as control panels, ESD panels, chemical injection skid, field transmitters and control valves and PLC. Generate punch list as necessary.
• Perform trouble shooting for instrumentation related issue in the complex process of oil refining and gas processing plant, prepare root cause analysis report.
• To supervise the team members and monitoring the work permit system work to meet individual and business unit goals in the areas of safety, environment and equipment reliability/availability.
• Manage the job to be carried out for preventive/predictive/corrective and breakdown maintenance and prepare the documents associated with them.
• Ensure that all scheduled maintenance for instrument equipment done on time and documented.
• Technical evaluation of purchase order for instrument equipment.
• Preparation of CAPEX/OPEX budget.
• Multi-discipline interfacing with other departments for any process/engineering issue.
• Attend FAT, SIT and SAT for DCS/ESD /PLC/Control panels and sub systems.
• Review documentation related to loop check and function test for DCS/ESD/package loops, witness and approve functional test according to cause & effect and control narrative.
• Participate in PSSR safety reviews / process hazardous analysis and ensure safe and cost effective design in compliance with applicable codes and standards.
• Checking of safety interlocks, plant complex loops in co-ordination with operation and maintenance for ensuring proper implementation of plant controls and interlocks.
• Punch list point follow up with contractor and PMC for completeness of the system activity before plant start up.
• Assist operation personnel for familiarization of complex process interlock in the plant.
• Ensure that as built drawings are prepared and maintained completed project files including all loop drawings, updated interlock and logic drawings.
• Supervision of instrument and control system maintenance activities.
• Preparation for material and tools, manpower requirement for turnaround shutdown and ensure spare part availability.
• Identifying critical instrumentation and control system spares for procurement.
• Inspection of material received at the warehouse.
• Monitoring instrumentation activities with respect to cost, resource deployment, quality compliance and manpower planning to ensure timely execution of maintenance.
• Troubleshooting the totally integrated system (ESD, DCS, PLC, SCADA) and its I/O modules.
• Carrying out various technical activities related to plant reliability of instrumentation and control systems.
• Ensure instrument equipment and systems availability by proper planning and execution of preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, predictive maintenance and breakdown maintenance.
• Extensive involvement in trouble shooting related with complex problem in the process, perform root cause analysis and advice solution.
• Review various instrumentation drawings like P&ID, Datasheet, logic diagram, hook up, wiring & termination diagram.
• Perform loop check and ESD function test as per cause & effect and control narrative.
• Calibration, installation and commissioning of all the types of field instruments as per specification, performing loop check, logic check, cause & effect check and control Narrative checks.
• Coordinate with planning section regarding manpower availability and maintenance job planning and execution.
• Assist vendor performing performance test and surge test for the compressor.
• Managing 7 technicians to execute preventive, corrective, predictive and breakdown maintenance.
• Review turnaround shutdown jobs and ensure spare part availability.
• Ensure instrument equipment and system availability by close monitoring system diagnostic and healthiness.
• Review and provide input to any instrument related Plant Change Request(PCR), execute and implement PCR after final approval.
• Ensure proper maintenance planning and execution of field instrumentation, MCM system, PLC and ESD system and Fire and Gas system.
• Provide assistance during weekly siren test and emergency generator test.
• Trouble shooting of instrumentation related issue, provide sequence of event, trend and analysis report and prepare root cause analysis report.
• Provide support and guidance to contractor during turnaround shutdown activity, prepare and ensure availability of required spare parts.
• Inter department coordination for any technical issue and provide necessary support.
• Provide support and supervision for the development of Qatari nationalization program.
• Maintenance and troubleshooting of Fire and Gas system devices.
• Actively participate in project meeting with clients, vendors and contractors.
• Conducting daily progress meeting and its status with sub-ordinates and sub-contractors.
