Conduct and participate safety audits and safety reports;
Ensure that all CEG International policies and procedures are followed;
Ensure all identified hazards are properly mitigated and risk reduced to the lowest level;
Assisting the Project Manager in implementing the guidelines given on the Project Safety;
Assist the safety supervisor with the performance of the job hazard analysis / risk assessment;
To collate man-hour statistics and calculate accident frequency;
To remind all members of the establishment of the status, requirements, codes of practice for safe-working procedures already adopted;
Help to arrange for the reporting and investigation of incidents with a view to further preventive measures or the dissemination of information to others;
Organizing safety meeting to highlight site HSE problems and requirements;
To respond to accident / emergencies on time;
To carry out immediate basic first aid on the accident victims(s) or refer to site clinic nurses or contact the local professional accident emergencies professional assistance when necessary;
Ensure that project safety plan is strictly followed by all staff, Contractors’ key staff and all manpower in job site;
Develop safety awareness program which is suitable to the full activities of Scope of Works throughout the project life cycle;
Investigate all the causes of accidents including safety misunderstandings and make all necessary recommendations to prevent accidents occurrences;
Ensure that all reportable near -miss incident and accident are reported to project management (client);
Report directly to the Project Manager and Contractor Representative discussing all required safety activities implementation;
Present at safety & Environmental meetings and tool box talks;
Conduct safety auditing to ensure compliance with the Project Safety Plan;
Take disciplinary action against employees violating Health Safety and Environmental regulation and or company Health safety and Environmental procedures and requirement.
Ensuring all site activities are in acceptable working environment.
Ensuring compliance with the existing local requirements for environmental protection.
Preparing project “HSE” MANUAL.
Conducting Safety Audit at project site.
Conducting Safety Training/Awareness program as per Training calendar to all categories of site employees.
Maintaining HSE manual, Forms, Formats, Registers & Safety records.
Ensure wearing of PPE’S by all workers and staffs like helmets, goggles, glass, safety vest, safety shoes, safety belts, masks, etc.
Ensure all the lifting equipment, tools and tackles are inspected and checked.
Site inspection & supervising the implementation of safe system of work.
Conducting Tool box talks.
Conducting Safety meeting.
Preparing Check lists, Accident reports.Ensure safe operating instructions are available at working place.
Ensure availability of First aid kits and Fire extinguishers at all work place.
Supervising First aid precaution.
Preparing Sign Boards & Banners regarding safety.
Conducting Weekly Inspection for all site facilities.
Assisting government personnel entering at project premises for inspection.
Required course for teacher to teach in secondary level, major in English study.
