•Monitoring the HSE performance of the Engineering, Procurements and Construction Contractor (EPCC) and other subcontractors, as well as ensure compliance with HSE contractual and statutory requirements (Site and technical office Supervision)
concerning the project construction sites, Camps, plant & equipment, facilities, and related materials (Mechanical, Electrical & Instrumental and Civil as per the projects’ scope)
• Preparing the HSE Management System for DIWACO including plans, procedures and other HSE documentation such as work methodologies, risk assessments/registers Job Safety Analysis and HSE statistical trend analysis as per the international best practices.
• Reviewing the HSE Management System of the EPCC and all other HSE related documents
• Issuing periodic and regular HSE reports & inspections and all HSE documentations
• Involving and participating in the design review process in order to avoid and mitigate negative impacts that may arise due to construction works
• Monitoring the Environmental Quality performance of the EPCC and other subcontractor such as the Baseline Environmental measurements (Noise, Dust and Vibrations), HAZMAT and Waste Management accordingly
• Interface with site supervisors to provide proactive technical advice for field activities.
• Verify third party certification for loose lifting gear, electrical equipment etc, is correctly colour coded and being used properly
• Verify all scaffolding is tagged and a safe condition
• Closely monitor high risk activities; confined space entry gas testing and air monitoring, lifting activities, work at height, movement of abnormal loads etc.
