Responsibilities:
• Trained to handle the following Ophthalmology machines: Autorefractor-Keratomoter, Computerized Tonometer, Visual Field Tester, Corneal Topography, Ultrasound/Pachymeter machine, Oculus Pentacam, Oculus Computed Tomography, WASCA, CRS-Master (ZEISS) for Lasik Assessment and IOL Master/Laser Biometry and Specular Microscope, Hiedelberg OCT and I-care machine for IOP checking
• Assisting a Physician for clinic routines
• Assessing patients before seeing the consultant/surgeon
Responsibilities:

• Assist the Ophthalmologist in surgical procedure (chalazion and cyst excision, I&D, laser (yag and peripheral iridotomy), refractive and corneal surgeries
• Give patient health teachings pre and post procedure.
• Assisting a Physician for clinic routines
• Deals with insurance and approvals
Responsibilities:
• Prepares clinic on a daily basis ensuring it is ready to receive both doctor and patient
• Clinical preparations include checking all patients files for completeness including the availability of radiology an d tests results
• Checking the required equipment/supplies are available and in working order
• Provide information to new doctors in HMC OPD specific issues including orders and charge slip and prescriptions that will be entered in the system (Health Information System data based) applicable to the patients’ needs
• Responsible for checking all requests, invoices, progress notes to ensure they are correctly completed with doctor’ order, stamp etc.
• Responsible for collecting and accurately documenting clinical data relevant to the patients/doctors (e.g. vital signs)
• Assist the doctor with examination of the patient and any special procedures (casting, intra-articular injection, wound care and aspiration of synovial fluid, removal of sutures) to be carried out
• Ensures patients services are made aware of any change of doctor schedule
• Responsible for filling out OR forms as well as booking of patient for surgery
Responsibilities:
• Provide an immediate care to patients suffering from trauma, respiratory problems (difficulty breathing) acute chest pain due to MI or angina pectoris
• Assisting the surgeon in minor suturing cases in emergency set-up
• Giving oxygen and nebulization.
• Proper and aseptic technique in conducting wound care of the outpatient follow-up cases
• Trained in handling apparatus/equipment such as 12-Lead ECG machine, cardiac monitor suction machine and IV therapy
• Administering medications intravenous, oral, subcutaneous, intradermal and intramuscular accurately
• Due skin testing in initial dose of antibiotics
• Carrying out doctor’s order in emergency set up
• Removing due stitches of the post-operative patients
• Assisting the surgeon in applying and removing cast/ slab
• Assisting the internist in endoscopy procedures
• Assists in the Bank clinic operations in the absence of the primary nurse or Head nurse.
• Monitors/records LBP Wellness Challenge medical evaluation of employees.
• Participates as first aider in the Bank’s First Aid Team.
• Participates in various health promotion activities of the unit.
• In-charge of the vaccination program of the unit.
• In-charge of the BMI measurement of the participants for LBP Sports activities.
• Transport chronic, severe patients to nearby hospitals.
