• Developed appropriate rigging and lifting plan
• Lead inspector for Lifting equipment inspection and testing
• Inspected/tested Lifting equipment such as Offshore Pedestal cranes, Crane Gantries, Deck cranes, overhead travelling cranes, Mobile Cranes, Slewing jibs, A-frame gantries, Chain blocks, winches, Wire Rope Sling, Chains, Shackles, Web sling, Eyebolts, etc etc
• Inspects /certifies Cargo Carrying Units such as Cargo baskets, Boxes, Skids, Skips, Gas bottle racks, containers, etc to BS 7072, BS EN 12079, DNV 2.7-1
• Carries out Visual/NDT(MT/PT/UTM) examination of Welded/Critical areas.
• MT/PT Inspection of rig parts (Handling tools) such as Elevators, Clamps, Slips, etc.
• Ultrasonic Wall Thickness Gauging
• Liaising with other inspectors to improve job satisfaction for our clients
• Records/prepares inspection work reports.
• Evaluates inspection reports for data accuracy and conformity to applicable standards.
• Maintains inspection reports and other technical documents
• Preparation, follow up, maintenance and close out of record of NCRs associated with lifting equipment
• Job Tendering and Bidding processes
• Preparation of official and technical documents
• Participation in both internal and external audits.
• Job supervision and follow-up
• In-house/field training of junior/trainee Lifting equipment/NDT inspectors.
• Customer relationship/satisfaction follow-up
