Project Profile:
The works comprise with construction of Drainage and Sewerage networking in Dubai proper. The site is located at the junction of Emirates Road with the Vicinity of Muhaisnah and Mezhar area.
Job Description:
➢ Delegated as Material Engineer/Inspector of the project to supervised the contractor (Target & Jima Cont. Co.) for Drainage and Sewerage Phase-1, witnessing the In-Situ test for the degree of compaction jointly with contractor and Geo-science Testing laboratory representatives.
➢ Coordinate with Resident Engineer for the Approval of all the materials involves in the project to be used such as GRP, uPVC, AC pipes, Granular Bedding Material, Steel Bars, Manhole frames and covers, Concrete mix design, asphalt mix design, and sub-base, road base material complying to Dubai Municipality and project specifications standards.
➢ Generally responsible for ensuring that all materials incorporated in the construction are in accordance with Dubai Municipality standards specification, British and other relevant standards.
➢ Responsible for the preparation and supervision of concrete mix design for various concrete classes using ordinary Portland and sulphate resisting cement (with and without admixture)
➢ Responsible for the preparation and supervision of Asphalt Mix design for bituminous base and wearing course. Preparation of the same is in accordance with Asphalt Institute Manual - MS 2.
➢ Conducts evaluation and analysis on test results gathered and makes the necessary adjustments on the Design Mixes whenever necessary to meet the Specification requirements.
➢ Prepare Monthly Material Report to be submitted to DCL.
➢ Evaluate the laboratory test results and recommend remedial measures and solution to the problems encountered in project implementation.
➢ Guide the contractor in all items of work with regards to material testing and quality control.

➢ Responsible of the preparation of Materials for submission and approval for the entire project. (Materials for sub-base class B (2-inch maximum), Aggregate road base class-B ½ inch maximum for concrete and asphalt aggregates gabion and rip-rap for stone pitching, OPC cement, water and 60/70 grade Bitumen, RS-1, MC 70, SS1h, and others.)
➢ Coordinates closely with the Project Manager and provide technical support for the purpose of material evaluation and approval.

Job Description:
➢ On-site team to supervise all internal related activates, including painting, insulations and scaffolding, to provide support and assistance to Engineering Superintendent in the evaluation of the completed jobs and other civil maintenance with Saudi- aramco plant and other facilities.
➢ In charge for manpower requirements materials, tools and equipment for civil section to initiate and expedite request when needed.
➢ Prepare commercial and technical tenders using Saudi Arabian Standards for civil materials, recommended potential suppliers or use of client preferred vendor list. Bid analysis and recommendation to client placing orders, inspection and expediting maintaining a vendor drawing register.
➢ Draft and prepare yearly operating Capital Budget (Budgeting and Costing for Maintenance and Civil Works)
➢ Provide assistance to client (Planning Departments Heads) with detailed man-hour estimate and man power loading chart concerning civil maintenance works within the allocated shut down period.
➢ Responsible for the preparation of tender, bids and contract documents as well as company business license for pre-qualification and tender submittals.
➢ Provide assistance with contractor engineer for implementation or works and variation for scope of works, bill of quantities scheduled.
➢ Setting up the independent Test plan for civil works and commissioning related activities to include submittal or related documents and reports.
➢ Carry on all civil engineering transaction using system applications.
➢ Supervises Field Density tests (FDT) for natural ground, sub-grade, sub-base and base courses to check if it passes the degree of compaction required.
➢ Supervises the laboratory tests for earthworks and granular road base materials to check conformance with the material specification requirements. All tests conducted are in accordance with AASHTO and ASTM standards.
➢ Supervises all quality tests of aggregates required prior to the preparation of asphalt mix Design. Check the Crusher Plant production and advised the operator on adjustments whenever necessary.
➢ Supervises the adjustments of the Cold Bin Gate opening or the adjustment of the belt feeder to ensure that there will be no shortage or overflowing on any one from the Hot Bin.
➢ Supervises the preparation of Asphalt Mix Design and determine the optimum Asphalt Content. Evaluates and analyzed the Marshall properties of the Asphalt Mixture produced and makes the necessary adjustments whenever necessary.
➢ Supervises the daily sampling of aggregates at the asphalt plant hot bin for sieve Analysis tests and moisture content determination to control the required gradation of aggregates in asphalt mixture. Advised the asphalt plant operator on adjustments to be made when ever necessary.
➢ Supervises Coring test on Asphalt concrete Pavement to check compliance with the required thickness and specified density of Bituminous paving mixtures.
➢ Prepares Monthly Report on all laboratory tests performed regarding earthworks and asphalt.
