Currently working as Mananger Accounts and Finance in Wateen Telecom Limited. Wateen Telecom Limted is the leading telecom service provider of Pakistan and wholly owned subsidiary of Dhabi Group. Major responsibilities includes,
Responsible for over all functioning and delivearbles of finance department and reporting directly to CFO, CEO and representatives of Board of Directors
Preparation and finalization of monthly, quarterly, six monthly and yearly separate and consolidated financial statements in compliance with IFRS
Preparation of Board packs for BOD meetings
Preparation of annual report and all related contents (Director’s Reports etc)
Preparation of halfyearly and quarterly reports to be circulated to shareholders
Overall responsibility of General Ledger (GL), Accounts payables (AP), Fixed Assets (FA) and Inventory
Resposibility of yearly and halfyearly audit
Monthly financial statement analysis
Making feasibilities and analyzing different business options
Continous monitoring of entire finance operations for compliance with IFRS and other related laws and regulations.
Handling income and sales tax matters in conjunction with tax department of the company
Handling corporate issues with SECP and KSE in conjunction with legal department of the comapny
Mannan Shahid Forging Limited wholly owned subsidiary of Abraaj Capital is the largest manufacturer of forged automobile parts in Pakistan.Major responsibilities were over all function of finance department and specifically included:
Reporting directly to CFO, CEO and Board of directors
Preparing business related financial and non financial analysis for BOD
Preparing the monthly, half yearly and annual financial statements in compliance with IFRS
Preparing detailed variance analysis of all revenues, costs, and other non-financial key performance indicators.
Preparing yearly master budget
Product costing (Prepared and Implemented Standard Absoption Costing System)
Making feasibilities and analyzing different business options
Dealing with Auditors, FBR, Banks, SECP and other government companies and departments
During the period of 3.5years with the firm, I was involved in various assignments in Assurance and Advisory Services. The various sectors I workedin ranged from manufacturing industry to service industry including stock exchange brokers.The assignments includefull scope audits, internal audits, GAP analysis /internal controls and business processes evaluations, development of costing and management reporting system, internal controls over financial reporting (ICFR), limited reviews, agreed upon procedure and special assignments.
