Job Responsibilities: • Provide 24/7 support to servers and around 5000 servers across UK, Nordics countries for different 30 customers using shared service infrastructure model.
• Planning, installing, administration and troubleshooting of VMWARE infrastructure 3.5/4.0 for different customers.
• Creating, managing virtual machines using ISO images and templates and troubleshooting the VM snapshot issues & support 50 ESX clusters and 1000 virtual machines for different customers.
• Performing P2V Job for Test, DEV & Production Server, which includes Pre-migration, Migration and Post Migration Activity.
• Proficient in handling the known features of VMware including VMotion, SVmotion and VMware HA/DRS. Setting up security for different users and groups to manage the virtual infrastructure using VC servers.
• Work in coordinate with hardware vendors and storage teams to diagnose the issue for VMware infrastructure.
• Managing and administration of windows server 2000/2003 infrastructure with active directory and administration of DNS, DHCP.
• Managing user & computer accounts through AD. Creation, deletion and maintenance of user accounts and groups, sharing resources & applying NTFS permissions on it. Configuring and administration of DFS and DFS-R to manage the shares effectively and managing the disk quotas for share folders.
• Experience in exchange server 2003 administration and Monitoring SMTP Queue using Exchange System Manager & troubleshooting Mail flow issue. Managing mailboxes and restoration user mailboxes using backup. Providing permissions for public folders.
• Managing and troubleshooting the server backups using Symantec backup exec versions, Ultrabacs Restoration of user data and exchange mailboxes. Experience in server rebuilds from backup.
• Work in coordination with the different vendors for replacing hardware and engaging onsite teams to coordinate with to perform activities and recognized for immediate troubleshooting problems and offering effective solutions to meet SLA.
• Monitoring Performance alerts triggered by the server & resolving Hardware related & Software related calls. Installing and updating of Microsoft security patches and perform checklist for server's patches updates.
• Understanding the concepts for ITIL process like incident management, change management and problem management. We follow ITIL process for different customer infrastructure support.
• The responsibilities include coordination with the users for defining the functional specification conducting and documenting operational user acceptance tests & also responsible for providing
0% down time of the network.
• Preparing monthly work status report and updating technology specific documents for Servers.
• Understanding & coordinating for all process related and vendor escalation matrix.
