Duties / Responsibilities:
o Construction Specialist/Utilities Engineer of the project, involved in execution, monitoring and control of the ongoing project.
o Review technical documents such as Civil and Structural plans and drawings, structural calculations, technical queries, and method statements in compliance with Contract documents.
o Review Contractor/Subcontractor's Pre-qualification documents, Vendors, and Material Submittals.
o Review and respond to Technical Query or Requests for Information (RFI) submitted by the Contractor.
o Coordination with relevant Project Stakeholders.
o Review and evaluate any Contract Changes and Variations to approved guidelines, applicable codes, and standards, and make recommendations for approval or rejection of technical deviations.
o Perform conceptual and detailed estimates of potential changes to the project’s scope of work.
o Supports management of project change and progress for the discipline and works to take corrective actions regarding issues, scope changes, progress, or other events that could affect project completion and/or profitability.
o Initial review of cost proposals and applications for payment submitted by the Contractor.
o Constant coordination with the internal technical team for any technical issues, coordination with other work disciplines, Contractors and Subcontractors, and relevant stakeholders.
o Carry out day-to-day management of the site, planning the work to efficiently organize the site facilities, supervising, and monitoring the site works, evaluating the performance and production of the site force to ensure the work is in line according with the target dates and know the issues & concerns, and conflict involved in the execution and take proactive actions to resolve the issues as the work was getting done.
o Ensure that all materials used, and work performed are in accordance with the project requirements and specifications, maintaining compliance with safety and quality requirements and standards, completing quality assurance, and providing feedback to the team.
