• Overall responsibility for steering the implementation of the Borouge HSSE management systems in UAE and other offices worldwide.
• HSE advisory in matters of Company HSE Risk Assurance and Business Continuity plans.
• Based on company HSE performance, develop risk based strategic and operational audits and inspection plans/programmes for the various locations the company operates.
• Develop and continually assess and revise HSE audit and inspection protocols established throughout the company.
• Monitor and lead audit operational activities for compliance with applicable regulations, company HSE management systems and procedures, and identify areas for improvement.
• Provide support to Corporate HSE staff and HSE Managers in the other worldwide offices of the company (Greater China, Singapore, New Zealand, Australia, and Hongkong).
• Lead the implementation of Observation Tour Program (DuPont - Behavior Based Safety Management Program).
• Work with contractors to influence and improve their HSE performance and to ensure they are aligned with Company HSSE standards.
• Establish Legal and Regulatory Compliance Assurance Framework and Interact with Statutory authorities on regulatory Compliance.
• Lead / participate detailed investigation(s) of incident and accidents using tools like Top Set, Bow Tie analysis, Investigator module etc.
• Develop and manage the Risk Assurance model for the company
• Ensure that the site HSE teams periodically review and update the Hazard and Effect Registers.
• Bring in new HSE initiatives to constantly raise the HSE bar.
• Provide key inputs to all the review committees for strategic evaluation of the business and to give direction to HSE matters in association with VP HSE for key activities like Setting up HSE Balance Score Card

• Manage the development of HSE regulatory strategies, and assess country and regional-specific HSE regulations/requirements to develop regulatory plans and strategies, aligned with business goals
• Coordinating and conducting Insurance Risk Surveys
• Lead and Conduct HSEIA and COMAH studies
• Preparation and review of Risk Assessment and Environmental Aspect Impact Reviews
• Crises management and Emergency Planning
• Preparation and review of Environmental Monitoring
• Take part in major incident/accident investigations
• To ensure that actions proposed via various audits, investigations, inspections etc are implemented
• To ensure that Observation Tour program (Behaviour Based Safety Program) is implemented in the true sense

• Recruited as Senior Auditor, charted a phenomenal growth curve, to merit the designation of Head of QHSE and Certification Manager
• Role of Country Management Representative for the Integrated Management Systems.
• Role of Head of the ISO Certification department of the Company. One of the divisions of the present organization is also an accredited Certification body for ISO 9001, OHSAS 18001 and ISO 14001.
• Taking care of the QHSE system and requirements for employees (more than 700 employee) working in various client sites including offshore locations.
• Performing Audits for RVA - Dutch Accreditation Council as Environmental Expert and Legal expert for the Middle East Region
• Performing Audits for RVA as an Assessor.
• Performing Environmental Aspect Impact study for various clients and setting up EMPs and Programmes
• Responsible to maintain Integrated Management System in line with the requirements of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001
• Experience of Performing Environmental Risk Assessments and QRA studies for clients like QP, Kharahma (Qatar Water and Electricity Company), Qatar Civil Defence, Qatar Construction Company, etc.
• Built and developed a new division within the company for Training (Training academy) offering courses to the public.
• Rose the turn over the Training Academy to three fold in 8 months.
• Got the organization certified to all the three standards in 3 months from scratch.
