Project Overview: The Microsoft Learning Gateway is a solutions framework that helps improve education by integrating the tools you already use and putting them to work connecting people with the information and processes they need to teach and learn more effectively.
Microsoft Learning Gateway 2005 was based on SharePoint Portal Server 2003, and Class Server 4.0, as well as a host of other servers which were the latest available when MLG was developed in 2005. With the advent of the SharePoint Learning Kit (SLK) and Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 (MOSS), the need arose to redefine the webparts and site definitions making the best use of the new servers’ technology and the flexibility of the SLK instead as well as introducing a richer collaboration and search environment for students and teachers.The new MLG 2007 is not intended to be just migrating the current MLG 2005 components to the 2007 technology but rather it is to introduce new capabilities that enrich the education solution provided by MLG.
The solution components includes the MLG templates and webparts in addition to the deployment guide, demo VPC and workshop training materials all needed to constitute the Learning Gateway solution.
Role:
 Produce project estimates, plan, schedule and issue client proposal
 Participate in Risk identification with other Team Members.
 Participate in Analysis, design & development of requirements.
 Periodical project status reporting to the supervisors and client.
 Responsible for project tracking and control.
 Resolve any issues or problems that hinder work process.

The objective of this project was to produce another version of LNM for Arabic speaking countries. It included globalization efforts to produce code that depends on the native language of the Windows version on which it is installed to pave the way to support other different languages.
