Lead the strategic planning / positioning processes of the association to ensure sustainability and relevance of the association’s work.
• Ensure the operational effectiveness of all offices and guarantee child-care quality according to the organization’s defined standards.

• Strengthen the affiliation to the international SOS federation by participation in and contributing to international processes (e.g. knowledge sharing, strategy- and policy development, capacity building, etc)
• Lead and supervise the national management team (programme/ facility heads as well as departmental heads).
• Represent the organization towards government authorities and other external bodies and organizations.
• Manage the performance of the key staff, providing and ensuring coaching, training and skills development opportunities for senior co-workers, thereby instilling a performance culture within the association.
• Support the development and implementation of well structured and sustainable fundraising plans and strategies, and grant applications.
• Support public relations/ marketing activities as necessary and ensures that an appropriate image of the organisation is portrayed.
• Help the employee and the employer in the process which enables persons with functional, psychological, developmental, cognitive and emotional impairments or health conditions to overcome barriers to accessing, maintaining or returning to employment
• Develop and implement, in collaboration with both the worker and employer, an individualized plan of rehabilitation in support of returning to work
• Negotiate with the various parties involved in the worker’s claim file the conditions governing his/her returning to work
• Ensure the administrative handling and computer processing of files
• Work collaboratively with health and safety inspectors, compensation officers, stakeholders, doctors, and other external resources, to guarantee a good quality of rehabilitation according to the organization’s defined standards.
• Develop research studies and make recommendations
• Draft reports under the vision statement on road safety for 2006-2010
• Produce synthesis reports including statistics and analyses in accordance with the requests of the direction
• Ensure a strategic watch on road safety
• Ensure a good management and provide follow-up for various administrative issues

• Conduct feasibility studies of the new projects in the area of information and communication technology (ICT)
