Assistant Director of Sales -‐ Leisure UK Market, Dubai
Reported to the Director of Sales, as a team of 3, responsible for all business development and the sales for
the JA Resorts & Hotels, UK market (key feeder market). Instrumental in the growth of UK market to UAE.
Responsible for the management of the department (recruitment, training and mentoring of staff). Overseeing
the creation of sales and marketing collateral. Leading the launch of new products and revenue streams in the
UK market. All aspects of client relationship management, including contract negotiations.
Reported to CEO, as a team of 3, responsible for designing events from conceptual planning to build and set
up. Liaising with international suppliers to ensure all aspects of the event are onsite, on-‐time and to the
highest quality. Pitching events to potential clients through proposals and visual presentations. Managing
staff during live events including assigning roles and scheduling.
Reported to the Head of Events, managed budgets of up to GBP1.2m for events from 50 - 1, 000 attendees.
Responsible for all aspects of the operation of global events (Mexico City, Istanbul, Shanghai and Hong Kong),
from delegate/flight management to proposal writing/overseeing operations.
Achievements
-‐ Implemented a new charity trek event to The Great Wall of China, taking two groups there to raise money
for cancer research.
-‐ Chosen to manage interns at both the Chic Collection & JA Resorts.
-‐ Managed the Chic Collection business that lead to me being chosen to move the business to Dubai.
