WORK EXPERIENCE : I am working for Omnia Fertilizer (May 2002 - Current)

(i) Promoted to Process Supervisor (01 June 2011 - current)
I have got loading operators and Process leaders reporting to me.

(ii) Promoted to Process Technician (July 2004 - June 2011)

(Duties (July 2008 - August 2008): I was busy with Projects that had just been brought by Germans (Envinox System) and plant projects (Optimization of plant) as well.

Duties (July 2004 - June 2008): As a process technician I was working on a production side, monitoring plant condition while taking samples for testing and recording process data. I was also involved in checking of instruments and equipment to make sure of correct operation, and attending to any abnormal Plant conditions.

(iii) Shift leader - Senior Operator (01 May 2002 - July 2004)
Duties: Responsible for a shift of 14 employees for two plants. I was doing regular plant monitoring making sure plant condition are well maintained and everyone work safely at their respective departments.

(iv) Trainee Metallurgist at Manganese Metal company (January 2000 - December 2000): I was working mainly on metallurgical projects.
Projects completed
1. Reduction of calcium in the main plant.
2. Measuring variability of particle sizes using the Malvern Mastersizer.
3. Comparison between the main plant and laboratory cell efficiencies.
4. Determining whether any correlation exist between the slurry samples from the slurry tank, wet paste from the extruder, dry pellets from the drier and the final product of the milled powder.
5. Comparison between P & S, Tamfelt 20, 21, and 22 diaphragms.
6. Batch leaching test.

January 1999 - November 1999 : Laboratory assistant at Peninsula Technikon
Duties: Setting-up Physics and Organic Chemistry II practical equipment and provide
procedures and explaining to students how the experiment should be done.

Training courses : Report writing skills, Creative Problem solving, Presentation skills Fire Fighting and Research Methodology.

Activities : Peer helper: (January 1999 November 1999)
The programme was about facilitating and helping students to cope with their studies,
family problems and time management.

This was carried-out by reproducing data velocity and turbulent measurement on the clear water flow, surface roughness and particle roughness.
