Mr Price Group is one of the biggest clothing retailer in Southern Africa,
Currently responsible for Mens, Ladies and Youths footwear portfolio including Watersports and Seasonal Sports footwear.

Duties and responsibilities include:

- Bi-annual strategy development, presentation, execution and review.
- Range building in accordance with the strategy.
- Range presentations to management (Managing Director and CEO)
- Monitor In-season trading of the business
- Weekly current trade meetings - Business analysis per week (draw conclusions and Identify action)
- Preparing Tech pack and briefing to suppliers
- Order capturing / raising
- Developing new seasonal product.
- Maintaining and developing supplier relationships both locally and abroad.
- Evaluating suppliers and building supplier strategy

- Managing relationships with in-house services
- Working with Quality Assurance department to do Fits / Pre-production samples
- Liaise with Resource and Shipping departments to track and trace deliveries

- Liaising with the Marketing department on merchandising, store advertising and editorials.
- Liaising with Operations, Distribution and Warehousing.

- Store visits and competitive analysis.
- Trends for both local and international markets.

- Negotiating, costing and pricing hierarchy of products.
- Working closely within a team to ensure optimal performance of the division.

Market Intelligence - Merchandise
- Regularly research, analyze relevant data in order to monitor future plans against ongoing research results to maintain alignment with existing/emerging trends.

- Monitor competitor activities and provide detailed feedback on competitor analysis to buyer, provide recommendations on possible actions resulting from the competitor analysis.
- Monitor supplier performance through regular evaluations of quality and commitment to deliver within stipulated frameworks.
- Negotiate with supplier to get the best cost price without compromising the product.
- Build solid and trustworthy relationships with suppliers.

- Analyse sales information over specified periods so the changes in product cycles are identified and feedback is given to the buyer for incorporation into future plans.
