The main brief of this position is to provide financial & risk management expertise in order to identify, evaluate, review and make recommendations regarding a wide variety of domestic and international business opportunities. In addition, knowledge transfer is an essential element of the remit.
To-date the role has focused on the appraisal and evaluation (financial modelling, financing/funding and tax/legal structuring) of substantial strategically important capital projects and investments. This has involved working independently, with external consultants, or as part of in-house multi disciplinary teams in order to make recommendations to the Management Committee/Board of Directors.

Responsible for all financial aspects of the maintenance of the Royal Navy Surface Fleet. Involved the implementation and integration of accounting and budgetary control systems in tandem with bid procedures for new tenders.
Also the production of a long term financial model ( MS Excel) for strategic planning purposes.

Appointed Financial Director to commence the start up of this new division, capital cost of £30 million, to manufacture medical devices for export to Europe/USA. Reported to the Board for overall financial performance and managed the financial, IT and administrative function of a rapidly expanding business with an annual turnover of £12 million at the time of sale. omplete start up of new manufacturing company with wide ranging responsibility.

Identification of new opportunities for investment.

Operational support role to existing operations.

Prouction of an annual issue driven Strategic plan for the company.

General management accounting role with responsibility for general ledger, data processing etc.
