During my time with Knowles, I worked on large projects in the area, which included plumbing and gas works on Hospitals, Schools, Shopping Centres, large Workshops and Mine Camps. This covered all aspects of plumbing, installation of small to large bore sewer, storm water, water, fire and gas pipe work, sewer system pump stations, complete fire fighting systems storage tanks, booster pumps, hydrants, hose reels and sprinkler installations.
Installation and servicing of all types of backflow prevention valves, silver solder and brazing of small to large bore copper pipe work; electrofusion welding on poly water, gas and fire mains; operating civil machinery - excavators, bobcats, front end loaders and backhoes; using laser leveling equipment; ability to read plans. Installation and commissioning of large solar, gas and electric water heating systems and installation and commissioning of all types of plumbing and gas fixtures; completing JSA’s and representing the company at weekly site safety meetings.
Crocodile Gold Australian Operations, NT
Carry out all plumbing and gas fitting installations and maintenance on the 400 man accommodation camp and mine site infrastructure situated 180km south of Darwin NT. Working 12 hour shifts 2 weeks on 1 week off, fly in fly out from Perth. Adhering to the Company’s strict safety policies, JSA’s or Take 5’s completed before any tasks are performed, which included the operating and maintaining of two Waste Water Treatment Plants and the upkeep of the site Reverse Osmosis Water Treatment Plant and water storage facility also Raw water supply bore field pumps. My job also involves repairs and maintenance on the laundry equipment, accommodation units offices, workshops and all gas and steam cooking equipment, dishwashing and ice machines in the commercial on site Kitchen. I also carry out repairs and maintain potable and non-potable water delivery pumps, Submersible sewer grinder pumps and camp swimming pool filtration and water quality testing. The role requires the planning and ordering of inventory and spares through the company CMMS-Pronto system. Also raise purchase orders and arrange quotes from supply companies, as well as giving support to mine site Dewater Crews in assisting with Poly pipe welding and pump maintenance.
