• White Nile Sugar Project, Sudan: Sugar processing plant US$1B
The White Nile Sugar Plant has a capacity to produce 450, 000 tonnes of refined sugar per crop season.
I was the Project Structural Engineer with responsibility for the design of the factory foundations
together with the design of 140, 000m2 of ancillary buildings on the factory site.

• Royal Marine Hotel, Dublin €50M
This project included the addition of an extra story to the original 19th century hotel building, which
reinstated the building to its original form as the upper story was removed in the 1960's. My role
involved the co-ordination of the Structural design and detailing of the project. I was the project
engineer and I attended design team/client meetings and site meetings.

This 120, 000 square metres project was the largest mixed-use development ever undertaken in Dublin's
inner city. I was the senior design Structural engineer on the first phase of the project, which consisted of a 6 storey residential block over ground floor retail over a 3 storey basement. I liaised with and attended frequent meetings with the Architects and M&E Engineers from the tender stage through to the construction phase of the project to resolve any design development issues.
