• Schedule the sampling timing and allocate resources to gather material from designated areas for mechanical testing.
• Prepare collected samples from production lines for mechanical testing.
• Ensure safe working procedures are followed and housekeeping standards are maintained.
• Conduct mechanical testing on sampled material as per the instructions of the foreman
• Recording test results and flag any issues to the foreman.
• Ensure that all production materials and supplies conforms to international standards as minimum acceptance or as customer requirements.
• Support in inspecting finished products to ensure adherence to company quality standards and customer specifications.
• Support in monitoring standard for checkpoints as means of controlling the manufacturing process.
• Support in first piece job verification during new pass and new size.
• Liaises continuously with Shift Leaders of Rolling Mill and Laboratory Staff.
