Responsible for quality control, Assurance, R&D and food safety of 1600 MT per day edible oil refineries and 900 MT seed crushing plants.
Responsibilities/ Accomplishments
Assuring consistent quality of production by developing and enforcing good automated manufacturing practices (GAMP) systems, validating processes, providing documentation & managing staff.
Compliance to Regulatory requirements, Audits (FSSC 22000:2013, HACCP, SEDEX, URSA and Internal).
Developing quality assurance plans by conducting hazard analysis, identifying critical control points and preventive measures; establishing critical limits, monitoring procedure, corrective actions and verification procedures.
Preparing quality documentation and reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information and trends including stability studies, recalls and corrective actions.
Updating job knowledge by studying trends in and developments in quality management, participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organization
Managing Food Safety Team and leading all food safety and sanitation activities for the plant
Leading internal GAMP, quality standards, and systems audits for the facility and implementing changes to close gaps
Leading and monitoring HACCP plan (s) and prerequisite (PRPs) programs in the facility
Planning and providing relevant training and education to the food safety team members/ workers on a regular basis
Ensuring that the food safety team does have multidisciplinary knowledge and experience in the development and implementation of the FSMS in relation to the safety of product and processes
Monitoring and validating the effectiveness of the FSMS to comply with applicable regulatory and legal requirements
Organizing FST duties and responsibilities to ensure that the FSMS is established, effective and objectives are achieved
Providing reports and relevant information to the organization’s top management on the effectiveness and suitability of the food safety management system
Managing Quality Assurance Department after Manager.
