Embedding School’s business continuity policy across IT Services. This was achieved by identifying and testing of mission critical applications, services and underlying IT infrastructure. Working with stakeholders to minimise potential impact caused by incidents/outages. Documenting and managing risks to services and processes. Performing regular risk assessment (RA), quality assurance (QA) and gap analysis of business continuity plans and capabilities for IT Services. Creating service recovery plans including technical architecture.
Job Responsibilities
• Regular risk assessment of IT applications & implementations with IT & Business Units
• Identifying technology risks and developing appropriate controls in managing identified risks within IT Services and other Divisions
• Monthly / Quarterly updates of key performance indicators and compliance to Senior Management and LSE’s Business Continuity Steering Group
• Regular business continuity awareness exercises and presentation
• Creating and testing of team recovery plans including performing Business Impact Analysis (BIA), Business Recovery Plans (BRP) and Work Area Recovery (WAR) exercises for IT Services
• Subject matter expert for business continuity related enquiries including vendor/supplier management
• Co-ordinating service recovery exercises including agreeing test scope, performing walkthrough exercise, actual recovery exercise and post-test reports including sign off from stake holders
• Successful implementation of ITIL based Significant Incident and Crisis Management Process including incident classification
• Working with Programme Office (PO) and Change Manager (CM) in embedding business continuity requirements to project management and change management process
• Regular review of new and existing projects with Programme Office (PO) and with senior management at the programme review board (PRB) meetings
• Review and approval of change requests at the change advisory board (CAB)
