Oversee the activity, operational performance and development of a team of one Logistic & Procurement Assistant and four drivers.

• Logistics: Managing fleets, assets and maintenance operations optimising cost, productivity and sustainability through enhanced processes, lean management and continuous improvement.

•Supply Chain and Procurement: Monitor and handle all procurement activities pertaining to the area under scope, optimising supply and procurement procedures and processes, stock management and delivery networks.

•IT & Security: Act as focal point for all IT and Security inquiries and services.

Oversaw logistics and supply chain operations ensuring continuous improvement in procedures and implementations.

1) Human Resources Responsibilities
• As Supply Chain Team Leader (SCTL), selected, trained and managed the Capital Supply Team. Maintained high levels of motivation, productivity and efficiency through weekly meetings, visual operations management, continual activity follow-up and HR/Technical support and workshops. Defined SMART objectives and job descriptions, and divided tasks in a way which serviced both MSF projects and supply team members.
• As SCTL, managed sub-sites visits, offering permanent support to the direct and indirect site supply stakeholders, ensuring an efficient supply administration and productive inter-departmental relationships.
• Briefed and trained new and experienced team members on Mission Supply Challenges, setup and processes, ensuring a continuous synergy and support link between Supply and other departments (Medical, Finance, Administrative and HR).

2) Strategic, Operational and Technical Competencies
• As SCTL, actively participated in setting the Yearly Mission’s Supply and Procurement Strategies, covering for the Supply Chain Manager’s absences (for periods up to five months), conveying the operational Plan of Action to supply teams in all sites, and ensuring constant control and close-up support on implementation.
• Rehabilitated warehouse designs and storage strategies (on-pallet to shelving) and trained both stock owners and stock managers.
• As the procurement and supply lead for the project sites, suppliers and MSF’s coordination team, provided technical support in both emergency and everyday situations. Proposed and implemented strategic adjustments and resource allocation when needed. Developed problem solving skills.
• Managed and executed all Medical and Logistic procurement of products and services, and developed purchasing lists, key to assisting supply teams across the mission in procurement requirements.
• Managed sourcing and supplier relationship (selection, contracts) processes, implementing KPIs to monitor supplier performance, carrying out evaluations, progress plans and solving any disputes with suppliers. Through continuous monitoring, optimised costs by going beyond the non-binding framework agreements, significantly reducing up to 80, 000 USD cost per single drug type, while still ensuring quality and validation of the sourcing, as well as service levels for patients. Conducted market assessments, CBAs, tenders and led negotiations and agreements.
• Validated the use of supply related third parties (including suppliers, transport companies and freight forwarders).
• Stock management responsibility:
Decreased inventory discrepancy from 36% to 2% from 2016 to 2017.
• Reporting remit:
Produced monthly supply reports, conducted market assessments and benchmark analysis (including local, regional, and international sourcing options) and held responsibility all the way from placing the orders (issuing purchase orders) to coordinating with the warehouse team on deliveries and quality control.

• Progressed to Business Controller role, responsible for recovering, reducing and optimising over 1, 100, 000 USD to the CMA CGM Line. Responsible for monitoring the shipping agents’ monthly accounts, detecting mistakes and/or fraud attempts and issuing debit notes.
• Performed periodic business audit missions to countries under scope (Oman, UAE, Iran & Qatar) and recovered a sum of 1, 000, 000 USD in a single mission. Ensured all terms and conditions of Agency contracts were fulfilled.
• Slashed the cost of billed service fees by 5% through developing and negotiating operational cost saving procedures on tariffs set by third-party service providers contracting with CMA CGM. Followed-up on rebates and credits.

Initially a Customer Service role, co-ordinating and finalising shipping documents (Bill of Lading, Cargo Manifest, Invoice processing, etc.) while minimising defects and customer complaints. Trained interns and new recruits.

• Boosted Microsoft sales in both stores through continuous and close follow-up with customers.
• Strengthened interpersonal and customer service skills, achieving a 100% ratio of resolved customer complaints.
• Co-ordinated with management with respect to sales fluctuations, preparing and delivering weekly reports.

Acquired a significant grasp of the freight and clearance documentation, Incoterms, IATA Rules and physical control operations, achieving rotations between the Beirut seaport and the Air, Sea and Land Freight departments.
