Prepare & examine monthly company report related to full sales report, margins, Balance Sheets, Profit/ Loss statements, and Cash Flow statements for the company
Develop, implement and ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures related to the accounting and financial department
Prepare and assist for the external audit mission so they can issue company annual report
Cash Flow management
Manage the entire bank related issues, overdrafts, Letter of Credit, refinancing, control interest rates.
Hedging and purchase of foreign currency.
Prepare the tax declarations VAT tax, the Tax on salaries, the Income Tax, and the NSSF contributions.
Payroll preparation and all its functions to ensure that employees are paid in a timely and accurate manner.
Manage the tracking of vacation, sick leave and other leave according to NATCO policies.
Prepare all salaries certificate for bank loans, embassy and housing.
Prepare the end of service indemnity documents for departing employees.
Assist all employees in all matters
Review the car costing of each arrival.
Import the costing “car arrival” to the stock system using the stock system format.
Insure new purchases on stock system are recorded on accounting system.
Review and approve all invoices to be paid.
Review and approve all sales contracts.
Review all yellow cards for trail car Plate.
Review and sign all banks’ car loan settlements.
Follow up on top management’s requirements.
Manage the accounting team
-Prepare and analyze Balance Sheets, P&L statements, and Cash Flow statements for 5 companies of the group and consolidate the financial statements
-Generate and analyze the financial ratios related to solvency, liquidity, profitability, and asset utilization
-Prepare feasibility studies for new projects and discuss the outcome with the management
-Continuously monitor and improve the Cost-to-income ratio
-Oversee and approve the expenditures budget and sales target by business unit and follow up on the realization of the budgeted figures
-Prepare to the CEO and management committee weekly financial briefs (sales report, weekly collection and expected collections, cash flow situation, aging receivables and payables, etc…)
-Manage the company credit cards (payments audit and closing of due amounts)
-Assist the external auditor in all finance related issues
-Prepare and process all internal money transfers, incoming and outgoing transfers
-Responsible for expenses payments, supplier schedule payment, checks preparation/scheduling/deposit, VAT, provisions, depreciation, etc…
-Follow-up with the clients on delays in payments
-Issue staff and management payrolls and make all the necessary arrangements related to income tax and NSSF deductions
-Check contracts payment terms and issue the remaining invoices
-Follow-up with the banks for any overdraft, bonds, LG, loans
Project Auditor
-Set the budget for the each project and control the associated costs
-Fully responsible for the project billing process, including responding to client inquiries, verifying employee’s chargeable time; in accordance with the established accounting standards and billing policy
-Prepare special project analyses for Project Managers
-Make new reports to control all the billing process and find the unbilled
-Control the work flow process and advise on new modifications when deemed necessary
-Assist the Operation Manager in computing KPI and prepare the respective reports
De Tanios SARL (Jewelry & Watch manufacture), Beirut, Lebanon
- Prepare and analyze financial reports and make decisions accordingly
- Manage all the financial and accounting issues related to the company
- Prepare and review feasibility studies of new projects advised by the shareholders
- Participate in all the business activities from purchasing, design, production, quality control, wholesale, retail, and expansion plan
- Establish and manage the sister company in Sierra Leone for gold mining and conduct all the strategic planning necessary for expansion and profits maximization
- Establish all the accounting rules and opening of accounts for Siera Leone Gold mining company
- Set up a jewelry factory with its different departments: Design, Goldsmith, Diamond setting, Polishing, Quality control
- Establish a company for watch manufacturing and exporting
- Conduct studies about the cost and benefit from participating in jewelry exhibitions
- Organize the participation in exhibitions held in Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Dubai, Sharjah, Abu Dhabi, Kuwait, Bahrain, India, and Switzerland
- Perform analysis to open jewelry showrooms in Lebanon and Qatar
- Attend BASELWORLD show for watch and jewelry to follow up on the latest technologies in the industry
- Conduct research on the requirements of SWISS watch standards design
- Work with diamond suppliers in Belgium, India and Lebanon
- Initiate relationships with suppliers in Italy to install and customize machines and systems to the watches production factory
- Construct and deploy the accounting system in the company
- Responsible for the production unit
- Reconstruct and reorganize the accounting and stock management system
