Responsibilities:
Focal point and acting as an Owner Engineer from client to EPC, coordination with consultant, EPC contractor and Kahramaa for engineering, project management and technical coordination. Leading 220/33kV Facility Substation & 875 MW PV Plant project management, including project planning, scheduling, engineering & design, PV interface, procurement, FAT, day to day site & resource management, QHSE management & contractor management.
Major Achievement & Tasks:
- Leading overall engineering design team & interfaces with various discipline to respond EPC engineering and design documents.
- Ensuring and reviewing of contract and specification requirement in EPC design, construction and commissioning documents.
- Replying EPC contractor letters and advising client in regards of design, claims, vendors selection and approval.

Scope: 800 MWp Solar PV Plant, 220/132/33 kV Connecting Equipment & 132/33/33 kV Facility Substation EPC Contract
Role: Leading high voltage substation engineering coordination, FAT test plan, project management, procurement management, project site management, project coordination with client, subcontractor and internal project team.
Achievements & Responsibilities:
•Managing CE & FS substation project management including contract review, Scope/BOQ/DOW prepration & finalization.
•Ensuring project progress as per contract and schedule within project budget ensuring integrity, quality and safety at site.
•Followed strict deadline of engineering/procurement schedule and completed timely FAT and equipment delivery to site.
•Leading substation activities and ensuring client satisfaction by updating them daily progress and resolving critical issues.
•Planning the project execution from start to finish, including necessary activities, procurement, resources and milestones.
•Controlling subcontractors progress as per contract management with strict QHSE, NCR, design and progress delays.
•Risk Mitigation to the organization and contract during scope finalization through WBS/DOW and increased profitably.
•Preparing and keeping track of all technical, commercial letters and monthly progress invoices.
•Overall design review & coordination, ensuring timely submission/Interfaces with various discipline and PV plant design.
•Coordinated & attended FAT for 300MVA Transformer, 2500kVA Auxiliary Transformer, 220kV GIS, 132kV GIS, 33kV GIS, 33kV AIS, Control, Protection, SCADA, LVAC-DC, Capacitor Bank, UPS, Batteries, Battery Charger, HV/Power/Control Cables etc.
•Daily planning of site progress/activities as per schedule including equipment installation, testing & commissioning by coordinating with onsite team and other technical departments.
•Regular meeting with Clients / OEM / Subcontractor for resolving major critical design/installation/testing issues at site.
•Identifying critical activities for the projects and resolving the issues in advance to avoid project delay in execution.
•Perform review of cable schedule for equipment’s, protection panel, LCC scheme and switchgear Scheme ensuring all the schemes are as per project specification.
Achievements:
•Delivered various Qatar Government utility projects successfully, managed multiple projects simultaneously, focused on delivering high quality within stringent deadlines while adhering to contract, budget & customer satisfaction.
•Led Doha metro fast track project with 100+manpower, successfully coordinated & delivered multi-discipline of works.
•Managed project records (updates, progress reports, notices) which result in approved EOT & increased profit to the project.
•Supported SCM/PM for procurement related techno-commercial comparison and cost optimization (Saved $1M Budget).
•Led Ras Abu Funtas 2 & 3 fast track project engineering and design coordination and completed as per project baseline.

- 5 No’s 132/33 kV Substation for Qatar Metro Rail Project, Client - Mitsubishi / Qatar Rail: Engineering, procurement, installation & commissioning (EPIC) of shunt reactor & AVR’s panels including Civil, MEP and Cabling works.
- GTC/318B-1/2009, 66/11 kV Rayyan Village & Urgent Upgrade of Existing Substations: 10 no’s GIS Substations EPIC contract from 11 to 400 kV network including Civil, MEP & Cabling Works. Client - Kahramaa & Energoprojekt Entel.
- Rayyan & Thumama Stadium Project: 22 No’s 11 kV Distribution substation engineering, installation, testing & commissioning.
- 132 kV Ras Abu Fontas A2 Desalination & A3 Reverse Osmosis Project: 4 bays extension for 132/11 kV AIS Substation. Design, supply, installation & commissioning. Client & Consultant: QEWC & Fichtner.
- 132/11 kV Gulf Mall & 66/11 KV Ezdan 5 Substations, Qatar: EPIC Contract including Civil & MEP Works.
Key Responsibilities:
•Leading the project team, distributing the workload evenly amongst the team & making sure motivation levels are maintained.
•Responsible for ensuring the timely and costly completion of construction projects by overseeing all phases of the project.
•Overall project planning including resource (equipment/manpower/materials), engineering submittals & time management.
•Installation and testing coordination including GIS/AIS, transformer, switchgear, control/protection panel, oil testing/filtration, LVAC-DC, LCC/Marshalling Panel, SCADA, SMDB/DB’s, lighting, earthing, lightning, ELV, Access control, MEP execution etc.
•Ensuring that the project adheres to scope, quality, schedule, safety requirements, client policies, and industry best practices.
•Building strong relationships with material suppliers/subcontractors/consultants/clients & effectively communicating.
•Leading weekly meeting with the ABB factories/internal team/subcontractors to ensure timely completion of the project.
• Coordinate efforts across the entire project between designers, SCM, ABB factories, testing team and subcontractors.
•Responsible for the project monthly invoicing, financial forecasting and collection of accounts receivable from the customers.
•Analyzed customer’s specifications, BOQ, contract and participated in project sales, survey, tender, risk review, costing & KOM.
•Ensuring that the project is formally closed out, as contractually agreed. Driving the formal acceptance of the contract.

- Al Ain Mall, Resort, Hotel & Water Park Project, Al Ain: Civil & MEP works including air conditioning (HVAC), electrical, BMS, plumbing, firefighting, fire alarm, CCTV & 11 kV substation, Client: Al Farida Investment, Khatib Alami & AADC
- Habshan Accommodation Camp Construction Project, Abu Dhabi: Design, supply, installation & commissioning of MEP, fire system & 11kV substation, Accommodation Capacity - 10, 000, Client: Kharafi National, ADNOC & ADDC
Key Responsibilities:
•Overall responsible for site MEP coordination & interface between the civil, electrical, MEP, subcontractor, client & consultant.
•Reporting to project director and project manager and updating area wise MEP progress variance status and critical issues.
•11kV substation installation, testing, commissioning and energization coordination with subcontractor and ADDC.
Project Handled:
•Shuaibah III Independent Water & Power Project, First IWPP in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia : 3 x 300 MW Power Plant, 380 kV Substation & Desalination Plant: Erection of Mechanical, Electrical & Instrumentation. (Client: Siemens AG/Shuaibah Water & Electricity Company (SWEC)
Key Responsibilities:
•Led a team of eight for electrical & instrumentation execution in 900 MW power plant and 380/110/13.2 kV substation.
•Project Coordination and Supervision of installation, testing & commissioning of 380kV GIS, 110kV GIS, 300/400/500MVA transformer, 50/67MVA transformer, 120/80 MVAr Shunt Reactor, 13.2 & 6.6 MV Switchgear, 23kV Isolated Phase Bus duct, control & protection panels, SAS, SCADA, generators, LVAC/DC panel, battery bank, cable tray, cabling, earthing, lightning protection & instrumentation equipment. Earned outstanding reputation for demonstrating excellent performance.
•Preparation of BOQ, cable schedule, GA layout finalization, site survey report, design review, scheme check etc.

Scope - Design, supply, installation & commissioning of electrical works for 11 kV/433 V distribution, Client: Vardhman Fabrics

•Assisted the project manager in project execution, managed internal technicians & subcontractors.
