Reward and Governance
Responsibilities: Responsible for the management of all Executive reward activities and the implementation of reward governance activities across the continent. The duties include:
•Management of all activities annual increase and bonus process relating to the Executives (top150) based globally in South Africa, Dubai, Prague and Amsterdam.
•Assisted with reward matters relating to the unbundling of MultiChoice from Naspers and the listing of MultiChoice on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange.
•Deliver timely and appropriate day to day advice on executive reward matters (e.g. benchmarking, hiring, termination, buyouts).
•Manage the Board RemCo meeting cycle (incl. papers, agenda coordination, authorship). This includes relevant reporting to Naspers Remco when required.
•Production of MultiChoice public remuneration disclosures (e.g. remuneration report).
•Design, implementation and ongoing management of internal MultiChoice remuneration governance standards and frameworks
•Manage entire share scheme administration function including the implementation of new plans, release and grant of shares, system, trustee engagement, recons, communication and tax.
•Internal conformance testing on reward governance activities
•Tracking and analysing developments in remuneration regulation globally and assessing the impact on MultiChoice (e.g. King IV, government consultations on executives). This includes producing consultation responses; authoring internal briefing memos for RemCo, Group Exco, and Reward Leadership Team members.
•Internal stakeholder contact, incl. Reward Leadership Team, wider reward teams across MultiChoice and Naspers globally, business reward teams, Corporate Secretariat, Legal, Finance, Tax etc.
